Forum Terms, Conditions & Rules:
Hello to all, Welcome to the Security Forums. Before anything else, please ensure that if your username or logo contains any reference to your company, that you have permission to use that company logo's or name prior to using it. This is for your safety, not ours. Also before the rules start can you please spend a few minutes updating your member profile, if nothing else could you please fill in the location field and ensure your email address is VALID.
- No amount of offensive language
- No posting of adult content
- No questionable jokes
- No posting links to pages that contain any of the aforementioned qualities
2: Search before asking:
Though breaking this rule is not a serious offence, we ask that you save us some time and energy and search before you post. If you decide not to do this, you will be instructed to do so and directed to a thread in which a similar question lies.
3: Software piracy in strictly prohibited:
Rationalize it all you want, piracy is stealing. There shall be: No Warez Software, or other copies of copyrighted material.
This includes linking to, posting about, and suggesting ways of obtaining illegal software and/or other copyrighted materials such as scans from magazine articles. Posting such information may also result in your posting privileges being revoked. Furthermore, we will not tolerate postings that encourage people to violate copy protection by referring them to sites that have copyright protected articles publicized and/or illegal software. Any such post will be removed from our forums and your membership and posting privileges will be revoked as soon as we find the offensive post.
- No posting links to sites containing pirated software
- No requesting 'cracks', 'warez', copyrighted MP3's or Movies for download
This is not to say that you cannot speak of piracy and its implications in the software industry and the internet. Debates are encouraged.
4: You must not discriminate:
Discrimination against race, gender, nationality, or opinion is not allowed. Everybody is equal, and prejudice and hate do not help this forum. You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this Forum to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, abusive, hateful, harassing, obscene, sexually explicit, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise violative of any law. Hate speech is not tolerated. We will not tolerate abuse upon another member.
5: No Impersonations & One account per user, please:
You cannot post details of your contact details in the main body of the post on the public side, any post with contact infomation will be removed. You may have you contact details in your signature and/or profile page.
7: No Advertising or Promotions:
You will not post topics or messages that solicit or promote any commercial concern or transmit advertising, promotional materials, chain letters, pyramid schemes, or make any commercial use of our service. Doing so will result in the immediate termination of your account.
8: No FAO (for the attention of) posts:
You will refrain from having personal discussions or "for the attention of" post with other board members. Please use the Private Message feature of the board, or email for this purpose.
9: Signatures and other Graphics:
Registered members are allowed to append signatures to their posts, TSI asks that you keep your signatures to a respectable length and size. The administrators may remove or edit any signature that is too large or deemed inappropriate. We also ask that you use this feature conservatively, with respect for other members. Overwhelming images are not permitted. Ascii Art is not permitted, and signature content must adhere to forum posting rules.
Administration and forum moderators will have final determination as to what is appropriate.
Also if you are able, please resize any posted images to a maximum width of no greater than 640 Pixels.
10: No Multiple Posting of the same topic:
DO NOT post the same topic in multiple forums. If you are unsure of which forum a thread should go under, just state that in your post, and a moderator will move the thread to the correct forum. Multiple posts are unnecessary and will be deleted.
-DO NOT post the same question multiple times in multiple threads in the same forum. If no one responds to your question or request, just post a reply to the same message thread again to bring the message to the top of the list so folks notice it.
11: No Spamming:
Spamming is characterized by the initiation of threads or posts that contribute nothing to a forum, be it off topic or on topic. Examples include: empty bodies, bodies with few words that have no relation to the current thread or discussion and those posts that state they are Spam, either to annoy or increase a member's post count.

Please make sure that you are posting for the good of the community, not just for the sake of self-promotion.

Please refrain from posting affiliate links and press releases in our forums.

Surveys are not allowed, unless you have been given permission in advance from a Site Admin.

Do NOT use the The Security Installer community for the purpose of 'spam' or excessive advertisements! This includes forum posts, private messages, or emails to other community members.
Our moderators reserve the right to edit or delete any posts they consider to be 'spam'.
If we find that you are spamming our community, you will be warned by a Moderator or Site Admin, and it may lead to the deletion of your posts and/or the removal of your community membership.
12: Other unacceptable behaviour:

DO NOT deliberately start arguments. Debates are great, as long as they remain respectful!

DO NOT just make a negative statement and leave the person hanging out to dry. Although you may consider yourself to be an "expert" now, try to remember that we were all new and learning once upon a time. Take it easy on your fellow members!

Do NOT make threats or implied threats towards other members.

Do NOT post security control equipment defaulting information. Your post will be removed.

Do NOT post comments questioning the community rules, or regarding the way in which this site is moderated. If you have a query ask a moderator or admin.

There's no point in ruining a good debate by accidentally (or intentionally) offending someone with a personal comment.

The Security Installer believes in integrity and respects what other forums have to offer. Because we realize members of The Security Installer may also be members of other forums, do not try to degrade or discredit other forums, their administrators and moderators, or their members. This includes slander and other offensive comments.
13: Posting of Prices:
You may not post prices for your own services and or products in the forum. Links to other sites may be made if they are relevant to the discussion.
It is our intention to ensure our forum stays a friendly, interesting place to visit and I expect those who are not comfortable with our rules to leave peacefully and waste there time elsewhere.
This site has a PM (Private Message), feature intended to be used to relay private messages between members. These messages should be deemed as PRIVATE between you and the member who sent it, and under no circumstances should it be copied and pasted into any forum postings.
We at TSI* reserve the right to delete any message for any or no reason whatsoever. You may request to be removed from these forums at any time, but your posted content will remain.
Message boards are a dynamic entity, and TSI* reserves the right to change or alter these rules at any time.
An Administrator’s word is final.
TSI* reserves the right to publish forum post content (in whole or in part, and with appropriate credit to the original author) on any or all of TSI's associated sites.

Once a topic is closed, members are not allowed to start new ones with the same topic or to question why a specific thread has been closed. All questions or remarks regarding closed or deleted threads must be e-mailed privately to the moderator who performed this action.

Editorial Policy
Moderators are the management here. They have the full authority to edit or remove any post without warning.
Violation of the Rules
Should you break the rules, you will lose your status as a welcomed guest. Your login will be disabled and, at our sole discretion, your IP and email address will banned from the Forums.
Revision of the Rules
We reserve the right to revise, remove or add to these Rules at any time and without prior notice. We will make every effort to announce changes to these Rules in the Forum news and announcements section.
Legal Disclosures
You are held solely and personally responsible for what you post and the repercussions of something you said or wrote that may have been out of line or damaging to a person, company's reputation, or any product or service. Please remember that if you should decide to unsubscribe, neither you, nor we can delete your posts.
If you feel threatened by another user or have concerns about a conversation, we ask that you try to work it out privately with the member, away from TheSecurityInstaller.co.uk, so as not to ruin the experience of other guests.
