For most it's going to a low cost, mate of mate job with eBay / amazon kit. Rather than control4 in a footballers mansion ? Much like cctv, many domestic jobs think it's gonna be a £100 dearer than them buying the kit... Err running vans & men + buying stuff that's a bit dearer than swan make a job a grand when the sub was thinking £5001 point

Yes set at 5 degrees I live out in the middle of nowhere, badgers little deer pheasants etc never had success with it but I haven't tested the gear Pete uses But sunlight, rain etc are issues beams are immune too. Also fog etc. Plus my alarm etc is battery backed my cctv isnt1 point

Yes they are ok But following up on what enter is saying , narrow views like alley ways have there problems and it's not about the resolution , it will be how the ir spreads so lens and corridor view can help if you know what your doing , Yes Pete I know it's not what you meant , but your sacked anyway1 point
