  1. I have the photos, she never let me post them in.
  2. Fritzl training academy. Keeping it in the family.
  3. Same, as an engineer I did well kicking the arse out of the commission with these, paid twice, once for the lead and one for doing the interlink whilst I was there. Got my name in the ADT UK mag twice for the most sales leads along with 2 x £1500 on top of the Std commission.
  4. I've not ordered one for over a year, we have an account obvs but I can't remember the price we pay. I'll see if I can find a po.
  5. Providing its not an insurance requirement (rarely ime) I'm a big advocate of any signalling is better than none. As an engineer I arranged for lots of sites to be signalled through the intruder (paperwork caveat etc included)
  6. I think it's safe to say that we all feel the same about your ramblings...
  7. Bought hundreds of Lowara sub pumps, these DOC pumps work well with grey water with very few failures providing the run dry is wired right. Linked to a couple of high/low MS10B from RS they will give years of service, I might even have some left over and I'll check when I'm back in the office. I've also issued these cheap bilge pumps to all our tech's for pumping out meter chambers, cheap and cheerful with a decent flow, I just wire them to a cigarette lighter plug and connect to some 22mm (iirc) hose, These do fail but we've had a few years out of them being used for say a couple of hours per week.
  8. Your existing tap may have one built in
  9. Yes, it's a reg. to prevent any back syphoning. ... But no different to a Std garden hose etc. And most don't bother with those.
  10. kiss I can't remember ever watering plants.
  11. Personally I'd see the solenoid as a potential weak/leak spot and I'd look to have it outside if at all possible.
  12. Like the manifold. Ifttt is ideal for the sonoff with something like Weather Underground. Or even on the schedule for sunset with inching set up.
  13. What timer are you using and what voltage is the solenoid? Eta just seen the remote, I have a similar one in the garage, little 12v relay and 2 remotes marked A and B iirc, bang good special.
  14. As soon as this social distancing is over. I'll be round with your Christmas card and a backhander.
  15. Gets brittle but lots of pubs use it? Guessing maybe uv rated but probably not due to it not being critical?
  16. Solenoids are OK and cost effective but they shut the water off suddenly and this has potential to exaggerate any weak points, tbh for 10mm I doubt it'll be an issue. I've used these with the manual override due to the application, cheap and cheerful. https://solenoid-valve.world/product/820/connexion/12-electrically-actuated-ball-valve-9-24vacdc-or-110-240vac-abvm04s
  17. Lol I've just been doing a pir activated motorised valve jobby, issue with the solenoids are hammer when they are activated.
  18. And yet you keep returning.
  19. Regs are possibly too advanced and niche for you.
