    Solenoids are OK and cost effective but they shut the water off suddenly and this has potential to exaggerate any weak points, tbh for 10mm I doubt it'll be an issue.     Lol I've just been doing a pir activated motorised valve jobby, issue with the solenoids are hammer when they are activated.
