  1. Are you confusing a restart with a default?
  2. I listened to Cressida Dick on LBC yesterday, don't be fooled by the wording 'Could' they have to investigate every complaint. Personally I'd let the police reverse back over the little fuckers.
  3. Only if they are running around the front garden...
  4. A complaint to the SSAIB would be my port of call.
  5. Most I've had was the neighbour putting his rubbish in my bin. Talking about hit and runs, brother in law's cctv picked up a neighbour keying another neighbours Alfa, again the police wouldn't take action as they said it was only a probability even though you could see he came out of his house and walked right up to the car and down the side then went back inside. They interviewed him and he denied it so they wouldn't pursue it until bil's neighbour got the local MP involved.
  6. I've always said resi cctv (and some comm) is useless in most scenarios, have a look at all the cctv of van theft and break in's, every scroat expects it and covers appropriately. The police are not interested in it, my sister in law had an accident last December, non fault and all caught on dashcam as clear as day. They got a letter 2 weeks ago saying they were suggesting knock for knock as there were no witnesses, they'd not even reviewed it. (I know dashcam footage is different but the sentiment is the same)
  7. Not always, the same thing could be said about nationals fixing and indis condemning.
  8. I read it as you've had it 4 years? not a long time in real terms but what type of maintenance contract do you have with the maintenance company? Sadly the sale of goods act offers no protection for lifecycle of supply, nor is there any legislation that I'm aware of.
  9. Hello and welcome, have a read of the forum rules and look to apply for trade, there is a plethora of information over on that side.
  10. Hello and welcome Poppy, If the battery is 6 years old it would require replacing, this is recommended every 4 years, so I would suggest getting someone out to replace the battery, service the system and carry out the alterations all at the same time, this should save you numerous call out fee's. Post your general location and I'm sure someone on here will be able to help. Hope this helps. Steve
  11. Hello and welcome David, Why not apply for trade membership, read the forum rules, contribute somewhat to the forum and then post your advert.
  12. Why not have confirmation, provides a bit more information on activation imo.
  13. Hello and welcome Warren, If you are trade have a read of the forum rules and apply for trade status, there's a plethora of good information over on that side of the forum.
  14. Ronnie's just had a coronary looking at that...
  15. I'm sure jw's spent enough in his local stealer to have had one gifted. He probably has the cufflinks too.
  16. I had a loaner q5 when they "diagnosed" it, even though the Mrs diagnosed it within 30 seconds of me telling her. I had a 5 week wait for the courtesy car so even though I wasn't in a rush to fix it I just couldn't be arsed. Very nice 'experience' better than the BMW garage and much nicer totty, looking round in the 3 hours I was there, there wasn't a bird working there I wouldn't smash.
  17. I was only climbing the ceiling because it took them 3hrs to do a 30 minute job. I booked a waiting appointment for the fuel cap solenoid to be changed (20 min job as I'd already removed the inner side panel for them) told it would take 30 mins and I could wait. 3 hours it took them, worse places to sit and wait I guess but I won't be funding the fancy showroom and free cafe menu for anything outside of the warranty.
