  1. Called a runaway dialer, not as uncommon as you may think.
  2. I had my breakfast and about £25 of coffees at the Audi garage the other morning foc, don't knock them.
  3. Your recourse is with your security company.
  4. I'd be speaking to the company you have the contract with (you say 2 companies, I guess alarm Co and arc) for a gesture of goodwill towards your phone bill. If your contract is with the alarm company (as usual) then imo they should reimburse you and persue the arc for recompense.
  5. You've made a grand total of 6 posts? (not sure if you've re registered) I'd hazard a guess @ an old Briggs, CBS, Sandal or Lofthouse system?
  6. Taking on other systems reduces your quality as a general rule, so get ready for those call outs.
  7. Ripping it off the wall seems to have sent open, so yes they will have then cancelled police as a miss op.
  8. Sadly you are pissing in the wind imo, most decent alarm companies will have this covered off in the contract you hold with them, something along the lines of "this is not a replacement for or an addition to any insurance policy, nor should it be taken as such"
  9. No, why would you, similar to a garage condemning a car because they are no longer made. As I say chug away until there is an issue then document and report, that's all you are paid to do.
  10. IIRC security company in Manc land helped defraud an insurance co by frigging the logs, was found out and prosecuted. JB knows the tale.
  11. The engineers report would be the 'condemned' notice.
  12. From experience of this type of incident the log will be full of events as the system won't have been disarmed.

  14. Hi Shaun, Your maintainer or insurer should be able to arrange this. eta, the chances are the log will have over written in any case as you couldn't turn it off...
  15. Hello and welcome, have a read of the rules and look to apply for trade membership, there's lots of content over on that side of the forum.
  16. No, new, I'd only fit new then you have a warranty on it.
  17. £200 is reasonable in the scheme of things imo...
  18. Hello and welcome, have a read of the rules and apply for trade in due course, there's a plethora of information on the trade side of the forum.
