  1. Pay attention to the lights on the detector when walk testing, they will tell you if it's PIR or MW that is activating.
  2. The MW usually has a pot to adjust it's easy identifiable. Turn the MW right off and then slowly adjust back on until it covers where you need it.
  3. I remember K band military being a revelation .
  4. As long as it's a good quality detector and there are no temperature fluctuations or draughts then a PIR would be OK, however for the difference I would use a DT.
  5. And looking at the box I'd check for water damage....

  14. I believe they are extra, I'm personally not a fan of ceiling mounted PIR's (on a bracket) and prefer them in the corner as they were intended.

  17. A Timex and a Patek Philippe both tell the time so in that essence they do nothing differently.
  18. No carbon required. Probably the same as you currently have.
  19. Little steps, keep your £600 the roi is low so I'd spend that money elsewhere tbf. You can pick up automation later on.
  20. As above and remember they are there to advise and guide you, implement the advice and carry on wit the process. What forms are you looking for?
