Pickups would be a ballache to work from imo, stuff rolling round in the back, having to clamber around looking for parts, only one way in. It would be the first thing I checked before i went on a wild goose chase, happens so often and the chirp location is very deceiving ime. If your certain you have ruled that out then great.

Journeys may play a big part I guess, these sit on the M way and do 30-40k pa with very little short journeys.

We have a Transporter going back to the lease company tomorrow with 156k on it, 4 x Caddy's all with >110k all 12 plates, the maint records show minimal repairs. The Transporter had a gearbox under warranty some time ago and I must say drives 1st class.

Sheesh! Oh yes. Carlos, check for any devices (usually smokes) that may be reporting low battery, I've also had phone handsets being mistaken for the alarm.

Stick with the Texecom I'd say, very easy to buy online, easy (ish) to programme and they have excellent DIY support. -

Hard if at all possible for them to come to you because the customer could't afford it, the franchise should still be credit checking the work you bring in, once it's signed over it's their issue.
