True story, I recognised it on Fleabay, it's a company ADT bought in 2001 called briggs, I had breakfast with the senior engineer from there this morning (I posted him the link yesterday) he says the sirens were a bulk buy that were too big, so the stores guy who's job it was to assemble these had to melt them with a heat gun to fit.

  5. you said it had users that corresponded with the PayPal account you paid?
  6. If I bought it as 'new' and it turned up in a tatty box used I'd be miffed...If I bought it 'new' and it turned up hotter than a cheese toastie I'd be miffed. Either way it would go back.
  7. charlie6, if it's new and boxed then it is stolen, ADT are not a wholesaler.
  8. As above they do investigate and will prosecute if evidence is there, in any case it's passed to the police.
  9. ^^ But that would involve common sense...
  10. I could remove the sink without damaging the fabric of the property.
  11. If it's screwed up it is classed as fixtures and fittings.
  12. I also doubt they'll let you remove it.
  13. Never heard of the make. From 2 sources.. "Safegard has to date installed 1,500 systems since April 2010" "Safegard has to date installed over 3,000 systems since April 2010" http://www.safegard.org.uk/case-studies/monitored-intruder-systems http://www.securecomlimited.co.uk/?page_id=1387 Same director too
  14. But the cod would unset when the full system was set? *code
  15. I can't think of any wireless system that only takes 2 PIR's, I suspect some miscommunication from them. I'd take comfort in the knowledge you have a couple of sensors, very unusual for a landlord to provide a monitored system, let alone FOC
  16. He had the code to switch it off?
  17. The contract will be between the Landlord and Security company, if they agree to install an additional detector I doubt they would do if FOC and if they do I would also expect the annual maintenance charge to rise slightly to cover the additional equipment. Loft access during or indeed to gain access to a premises is very rare ime. Finally you wont be able to add your own for the reasons above and also it would need to be programmed onto the system.
