  1. Yes but why do 20 domestic jobs with all the hassle for the same profit as one job on a commercial site with very little hassle. Work smart not hard.
  2. Wireless domestic earns us the least amount of revenue, so much so we try to avoid the work altogether.
  3. £0 and we can't keep up with the work we have.
  4. Wouldn't it be better to ask what value of invoices have you raised so far this month, this would give a better idea of how much work is going on.
  5. We are mad busy but I can count on one hand how many bells only domestic systems we have fitted in the last 12 months and every one has maintenance or I have no interest in selling it at all.
  6. If in tameper the Nova 4 LEDs flash faster and not one side to the other.
  7. That will be the cheapo abacus 8, same case as the rebel 8. They also did a metal abacus 8.
  8. Ha ha it's on my house and as you must know that's the last place that gets any work done on the alarm. I have a galaxy 48 ready to fit, it's been there over a year as I can't be arsed fitting it.
  9. We had the pleasure of removing a fully loaded abacus 64 from one of our sites a couple of years ago after a flood. The Galaxy 96 that replaced it is a god send to work on compared to that old piece of tat.
  10. I am sure we have a job with some comet LP passives fitted. When you walk test them they stay O/C for ages after being triggered.
  11. Yes you could use a splitter and make 2 zones out of one, zone 1A and 1B. Mine is a 8/80 I looked after 1000s of them at a company in Manchester I worked at for 10 years.
  12. Mines still going strong here.
  13. Email, then posted agreement form with T&C etc then fit, once fitted a paper copy of the full specification left with customer along with all the other paperwork.
  14. It might of been wise to fully look into the cost of setting up and running a business before jumping ship. If you get approved by SSAIB you can pay them about £60.00 / £70.00 per year to have access to all of the regs online.
  15. All the samsungs we have fitted have been preset 95.
  16. I have flashed bells with 240v many years ago. This kills them instantly.
  17. Here's another
  18. Our intruder cables are fixed with plaster board fixings with a p clip and a tie every 1m. At least I can hold my head up on site as our bit is spot on.
  19. Today we have been 1st fixing intruder on a brand new build on a retail park in Dundee. Sparky on site is fitting the fire alarm. He thinks sticky pads and plasic ties meet the standards as 99% of his cables are fixed this way. No wonder we can't compete with these guys.
  20. Hello and welcome.
  21. We have fitted 100s of Axis cameras with only one not working out of the box, some of them have now been fitted 3 years and not a single problem. Also the Axis video encoders and I/O mod's have been 100% trouble free aswell.
  22. Died for good had to be sent back for replacement.
  23. Yes. Still having problems with LEDs not working on certain cameras on the system. We have had 2 machines die completely.
  24. We have had nothing but trouble with Hikvision. For now we have stopped using it.
  25. No mobile is on and have web access, but calls not to me so it's very very rare I get a call. Since being told I had very high blood pressure etc a couple of years ago due to stressing over that kind of stuff I had a big change and thought feck it. It can wait until tomorrow / Monday etc, I now wind down at weekends if I am not on call and try not to think of work until Monday morning, and i get to spend quality time with my family.
