  2. LOL I am more stressed than ever with over £70k out standing at any one point.. We have more work on than ever, 7 members of staff and looking at a new engineer in the new year. Trust me dont think its an easy ride cos its not... Thinking back 9 - 5 at Hex was a dream.. but did not get the ££ i needed. I have had shinges this last few weeks due to stress. So dont think its an easy ride, its NOT..... But on the plus side we are picking up loads of installs and most important loads of 3 year contracts

  17. No advertising at all. Only about 15% of our work is subby work. The rest is self generated or recomendations.
  18. Well chaps its now 6 months since We set up on our own. We have had 3 days in that time with no work. Things are going realy well and we have just taken on our 1st full time engineer, 3 of us now. But i agree with the rest of you i am now working about 100 hours a week inc paper work book keeping etc. We should be SSAIB aproved within the next few weeks. I feel i could never go back to cards in now. : Andy
  19. Do you remember the realy old mats that had a tarton cover on them. I serviced loads of dry cell systems over my time the one's with the end of line flag battery with a diode fitted to them, all well over 30 years old. It had a green lamp on the front that lit up when you pressed the test button if all was clear. The whole house would be run in brown twin a + loop and a - loop in the same cable mats caused a shot and doors went on on of the loops. F,in nightmare to find a fault.
  20. I fitted the system in the chapel of rest in my local town and had to fit a detector in the embarming room. Thay said if i waited an hour thay would clear out the bodys waiting to be done. I went in anyway. Not a very nice sight stainless tables with bodys laid out ready to embarm just saw heads and feet but that was enough.
  21. Mate i know all about them. A lot of cash for not very much. And very pushy sales reps. We are Northwest based and would be happy to quote you.
