  2. Hi, Sorry not been on the site for a few days and typically a Genie topic comes up. If you still need the manuals PM me your email and i will ping them over. I will also check why they are not on the website, they should be but we have had quite a bit of site mainenance of late so might not all be back up 100%. , D
  3. Hey, Was one of the support guys for Xtralis back in the Day (2000-2008) and the kit was bullet proof. I havent worked a huge amount on the latest stuff, however have found that its still very good especially the VMD (presidium) and the FT2. I wouldnt write them off yet as they are still specified on the higher end of jobs and still quite favoured by a lot of the ARC's out there. Why the question if you dont mind me asking?
  4. Hi there, Even if you could get into the router etc, i wouldnt use this for the security system as you cannot garentee that the system would be connnected to the broad band 100% of the time as the system will most prob have IP data restrictions (i.e. to stop ip addresses sitting draining data). Also as you would have no control over the connection you cannot be sure that Port would not be closed, or the connection suspended etc. Finally if its sitting on the router that is used on for the wireless for the pub, access to the DVR etc would be pretty easy for people who were connected to the system (I have managed to connect and gain images to a DVR in a pub in London using FING network anlalyser and the defualt details to the DVR). To save yourself headaches advise your customer to get a dedicated connection for the security system. Well thats what i would do anyways. , D
  5. Xtralis Adpro Pro range. Very good and very reliable.
  6. Defenatly go with the wired option, Far to may variables that will cause problems with a wireless soloution. Also you will need to get power to the camera so there will have to be some cabling for that anyway.
  7. I agree with Antinode, Sounds very much like it should be a monitored system. Regarding the PIR's I have found that you do get what you pay for, the GJD's are a good option, but i have always found that Redwalls and the Adpro Pro series are the best out there. The main thing is trying to limit false alarms, especially if monitored, as this can become a major issue later on. As for auto tracking, there are domes that have this as a built in facility (sony used to produce a system) but iMHO are a bit to easilly defated. However if there is a budget for auto tracking i would suggest looked at an analytics based system that isnt as easly bypassed. Regarding the wiring, you would have an option with the PIR's as to how to wire them. The usual metod would be to go back to the head that the PIR system is controlling, however if the DVR has the feature of alarm mapping, taking the alarms back t the DVR first with the DVR sending the heads to preset postions can also be a very sucessfull configuration. Hope this helps, ,
  8. Hi there, and welcome.
  9. Last IFSEC in London was years ago, did secureX quite a bit at Earls Court back in the day which was ok..... but by the end you could understand why it died. Think that the Excel this year will be interesting, but not holding my breath about it being any better than Brum Last year. But i personally think that it has been dying for years and should be every other year with road shows. I will be there anyways though. Well thats my tuppence worth anyways.
  10. been a long week.... looking forward to a few beers this eve.

  11. Is not going to IFSEC for the first time in 17 years! more than happy with that :)
