  1. All our monitoring kit belongs to us and is removed upon termination of contract, if you are SSAIB or NSI you can apply to have the URN transferred to your company subject to the fee
  2. CQR also did one that worked on a pendulum effect, binned the ones we had left a few years ago

You do not need to speak to Paxton, just make a full backup export on the old PC, install the lite version on the new PC, import backup and away you go, just make sure the old pc is off the network when you fire up the new pc, you can download the doc of how to replace the pc which is in effect what you will be doing
  4. I have doc martins from arco, very comfortable but not cheap

  10. With all the talk of security vulnerabilities recently and the suggestion of a vlan giving better security I have a few questions 1. How difficult are they to set up 2. Can things on different vlans see each other ie if I have a nvr on one vlan, ip phone system on another and pc,s on another can the pc log onto the nvr etc or does that defeat the object Any help/advice gratefully received
  11. We bought a Spit Pulsa 700P around 10 years ago for 1 large job that included fixing to concrete and steel, it just about paid for itself on that one job and is still going strong

  18. We had quiet a few issues with the Elite G3 detectors so went back to Optex CDX
  19. Wouldn't it be better to buy a batch of dyndns addresses, that's what we do and charge the a few quid a year

  21. We have quiet a few older systems, mostly on Castle or Menvier panels (bought 10 boxes of biscuits off ebay recently to keep us going
  22. Not that clever to be able to write a prog, don't know anything about it, would have loved to try it out, all our sites have unique site codes so I guess a seed code combined with the side code would be spot on. Can you get a converter programme from Android to Apple ?

  25. Your duties will be outlined in your contract of employment and provided what they ask you to do falls within that scope it is there prerogative.
