  1. alarms ain't consumer devices, their niche market low volume & expensive for old tech the same doors contacts are still being sold, only the very early one are unavailable as they changed the mhz ? ring risco & ask who'd they recommend locally
  2. I've never seen an everest box in the wild
  3. pcb is marked as there's
  4. I once pulled an electronics line wirefree system that had a "ts900" keypad on it, normally they had "napco" type keypad I often regret not trying it on ts networker to see if it would work
  5. aviva, they're a set of pricks. However they did have to pay out 30k+
  6. printer port, molex pins for pc on rhs of pcb nr battery appears to have everest software & rkp plastic from HKC ? IIRC udl worked with 6/14 but not the radio version ?
  7. basic maintenance would be a visit & access to "service on demand" that so pricks can ring up at 4am to tell them the alarm has gone off, oddly most employees expect to paid to make themselves available & sober to go & repair alarms at the drop of a hat, you'd probably be charged for any parts & any extra visits so co's do fully comprehensive you pay your money & makes your choice
  8. The pricks that ring me up in the middle of the night just to wake me because their awake are the same sort of pricks that don't release I've got loads of system that can make timed test calls, or just might ring them back the following week at 4am to check the system is doing okay...
  9. w/o a maintenance contract its not like your paying him any income to be woken up at 4am, what do you expect?
  10. so you've been there & got the t-shirt ?
  11. Its a security system... it sold as conforming to std part of that std requires anti tamper circuits, if your the sort of person that lives alone, has no friends or guests visiting, never has any tradesmen ect in the house then the anti tamper feature on the sensor can easily be removed using a soldering to blob out the the switch on the pcb If you have co. which does not maintain systems & sells the engineering code..... err I think you may be dealing with "S Hit Alarms Ltd;"
  12. no, after using the old abacus radio system we moved to Risco (2005ish) ... I'd charge for corrective visit & a new pir (if its very early system it may be old pcb in new case) I'd then offer you basic or fully comp maintenance, Like the radio abacus topic of the other day the equipment is stable but quirky a competent engineer with suitable experience of the product & its piece of piss
  13. I can seen a system we installed in 1990 on the database, it started with a 9800 then later updated to ts690 I think the 9800 may go back to 1988/89 ? We once had white a4 manuals in the store rather then the later grey shiney a5 one...
  14. IIRC I think I helped fit one in 1991 ?
  15. If your an alarm co. you must be pulling out better controls out than your 9600? If your not check out my ebay a/c....
  16. a "cp8l" with a wireless expander, oh dear if the battery has more than 2.8v its either the pir or the connections on the battery a simple solution is buy an alarm with fully comprehensive maintenance,
  17. Rebranded for CEF ? Never seen one before,
  18. £287k in 2015 not that I have 33k to spend on a Fiat, Ebay-
  19. they'll be loads of thrashed & crashed rallycross cars in barns ect...
  20. I could do with p/t engineering staff, I don't have the time to spend 5 days a week with a novice, So was toying with someone in p/t study
  21. Looking for new victims...
  22. Think DS went to bosch 2004 /05 ? The hybrid 6/14 R was a stable bit of kit, I have some old kit on the shelf but don't think we have any maintained any more The Euro thing was briefly sold as ADE, Bosch, Castle & Pyronix I'd guess cheaper than developing your own kit
  23. apart from a data connection theres no other wiring from radio expander to controls, radio zones are no. 11 to 88, it was class 5 radio system
  24. You in "education" every day of the week ?
