  1. you have an engineer code that works ?
  2. oh dear,
  3. the welders banned, the plumbers probably on o/t sorting out my issues....
  4. I popped on site today to drop in a loan monitor, I've seen the 9448 in one office before, there's a paxton switch 2 system by the same co. in the other office there a Modern branded 9500 which does a couple of fire doors massively over specced !
  5. Gaz, that's very insulting. Please remember I'm an alarm monkey..... swings off ladder & twists coloured wires
  6. back in 1994, I'd have put money that in 2015 if I was still daft enough to be doing alarms nobody would want low end plastic controls with the old fashioned led display..... guess which ***** is swapping a early 90's 9448 for a 9448 next week ?
  7. long time before it becomes mass market,
  8. thought ADEMCO USA did combined fire & intruder panels ?
  9. your share tip is still 24p or 40% ish down too dear, std don't allow, I reckon the most domestic will remain cheap 9448's or cheap to fit radio systems
  10. say 868 on PH's link, these a much more modern than the items I thought you wanted (old square stuff sprung to mind)
  11. I was thinking they should sold them 20yrs ago...
  12. £19.80 + carriage
  13. you sound like one of those idealists that wants covers on joint boxes...
  14. At one time a screw was a requirement in the detector case? Apart from the Optex saver I can't think of any sensor w/o cover screws ?
  15. spend the £1 & show us how's it done... however I'd assume- you'll need to convert 12-5v to power it then, open collectors operating at 5v would need a relay for the galaxy ? used as an alarm shock sensor, as unstable as the middle east... add a volt free relay on the pi to operate when the shock does
  16. if there's a dispute drop off the old board & the rkp (if requested)& I'd default it within 7 days. FOC unless moneys owed then could get stuffed You can't have really secure engineer codes, its always going to be a comprise
  17. What's wrong with eBay 161702764982 ?
  18. assuming its the alarm, an old siren running at low voltage?
  19. sia thingy- http://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/files/file/48-sia-techmaster/
  20. on that note, can we be sure your really called Terry?
  21. IMHO, you want an access system with a time & attendance module & the access system integrating to control the intruder alarm. I'd say ACT or Paxton controlling a Texecom premier. Now if only we had a very pleasant Sussex based installer on this very forum (uncle pete) ... we can't recommend any one else local as it might be there turn to employ the local "idiot"
  22. that's the sensible answer. I prefer to think Angus went too far with puerile "yo mamma's so..." as to get arrested, however he'd probably want to go to a prison gym ?
  23. cyber, how did the **** storm of stalking from FattMatt.Com end ?
  24. Treat yourself to Pelco, DM or Tectron...
  25. Often the spec states XY&Z but not always a URN
