  8. Commercial building will probably state alarm with a level 1 response. Worse case - break in, badminton rackets ain't worth pinching, there's no petty cash as it all credit cards in 2022, kids doing the robbing have the bright idea to play with matches... Insurer won't pay the 45k of damages as you've not complied with the small print of the policy, In 30 odd year of doing F&S I've seen lots of penny pinching which has back fired, I post a lovely example of recent incident in trade ? Doing it once properly is cheaper than doing it twice. The alarm is a few % of the build cost,
  9. App's, Speech diallers, Email's = Load of wank Unless it connected to ARC its not really an alarm...
  10. Get a proper accredited installer to do a proper system Get proper signalling Get it maintained properly, Everything where IT or Electricians have been in involved will be a pile of poop & a waste of money

  12. caveat emptor, I have no dealings with Verisure but are certain they have the trust & professionalism of chap lives in a caravan & does tarmac driveways cash in hand for grannies...
  13. people can buy shite if they want ?
  14. options 1 & 2 are shite, unless your gt600 has been installed by a proper mong, find someone local to- 3.) put a digiair or dualcom on it 4.) replace the control panel & keypad & put digiair or dualcom. my spider senses tingle with you having stuff in your shop with the clients data on it, you'd look very silly if someones device ended up robbed form your shop & turned up in cash convertors or the local car boot sale ??
  15. there are suitable roles for everyone regardless of your circumstance by not being employed your limit yourself to be dependant on benefits / family to support you & limit your social circle ?
  16. the problems with being a teenage alarm man- you've not seen enough work to have lots of experience the job is antisocial, unless you refuse maintenance, you are the subscribers bitch.... my phone rings everyday with everyone else's problems... Should you be the worlds greatest alarm man..... but look about 12 & appear like you should be playing on your stateboard in the park. you won't win the proper jobs as the customer doesn't believe your experienced enough.
  17. Go & work with the spackers* & slackers* at a large alarm alarm co. You'll get a decent car /van See thousands of different jobs Loads of different products Loads of old alarm tat to take away Loads of new alarm gear to squirrel away for your own jobs Colleagues who you can learn from, or get gear they've squirrelled away / saved from the skip & Earn a lot more than being a hobby co. * I'm sure theres a few decent people too ?
  18. I make money on PMV's which need people to undertake, people to book in & people to ensure we get paid Stuff like turning up in Scarborough at 08:30 on a Saturday to do a bit of port forwarding or some parts of most installs appear to need me to turn up at some point to ensure its done quick enough, all the items are fitted in the correct place or simply to press the right buttons to make it work.
  19. Good, however the really hard bit is getting enough £ though the door to pay staff.
