  3. cool, all you need to do is get in touch https://www.bsigroup.com/ & ask they rewrite the standards for you is he's coming for free...... or are you using Robin Bastard Electrical ?
  4. A scam would be asking £198.00+vat, doing the work then charging £398.00+vat I often say to people when they moan about costs.....if you don't want it, can't afford, or just don't like the price. Don't have it.
  5. who'd have thought a jobbing electrician charge less than multi national company with 24hr call centre ? ADT, grand + over 3 yrs ? Fiat 500 from 20k, Fiat or the Fiat dealer is unlikely to help a private person do anything with their own car ??
  6. Google the name of your alarm installer- was the 1st result the above ?
  7. I'd say wireless sensor issues + issues with texecom smartcom ? I'd also say unless you have proper alarm signalling as well an app your probably not correctly insured ?

  13. unless I'm mistaken- Eur Mini has neg gobal tamper & positive loops (you loose a zone this way) Eur 46 has pos / neg loops on on endstation Double pole expanders are available Premier 48,88 & 168 & std expander are double poled with EOL on the outer zone pair (like TS Networker)
  14. err the pcb is knacked....
  15. heating controls & IA, are normally the oldest things in the house.... then everyone got a hive!
  16. lol... you didn't no they "bleep" the open circuit no. when setting.... if the zone does work when linked out its more than the led which needs replacing
  17. sounds like its time to put your hand in your pocket & get a new dvr which uses a different app
  18. the controls date back to 1989 ish Tunstall where doing 4k7/2k2 EOL back in the late 80's What you have a the moment is positive loop for alarm, a negtive loop for tamper & +/- to power a pir then you can bodgengineer eol resistors on at the panel end to hang the old sensors onto the new controls, until your ready to replace but its always prudent to spend 5 mins & measure the wiring before starting to rive the controls off the wall
  19. 4 pirs, 1 door contact, 1 keypad, 1 speaker ,1 external sounder. to renew everything is at most a days work & I've allowed extra as its a secret nuclear bunker ? being big head.... I'd expect you'll spend the week end at it ?
  20. lol missed this, the comfort led's on an external sounder are not really a new thing, the earlist I can recall fitting is a CQR Ultima 1994 is ?
