  4. its 2020 petrol & battery powered cutting stuff is going to open up most premises despite there psychical security the nice thing about about alarm is the EWD, twated off the wall at the start of the break starts the 1st signal, unlike cctv it gonna work in power cut & probably gonna signal even when the internet or telephone line get cut. & its probably in place due to the insurer rather than the subscriber wanting it & the rozzers might even turn up on confirmed alarm the people with shutters, safes & alarm rarely get robbed the people with sawn cctv, yale alarm apps ect.. do get robbed
  5. IIRC needs mains to start, Power it down Remove the modem connection, Rainbow ribbon if fitted bell + Speaker+ Zem + Aux + on both tiers of the pcb terminals Check all the pcb fuses with DVM on buzz (replace any blown one with correct value) Restart with just the RKP on it, if won't change onto the battery its deffo shagged think its the same pcb, but but minor sorfware changes which includes app support ?
  6. act ? Me? I told you who to mend your alarm for nowt Battery, fuse or PCB impressive.... however there'll be much cheaper & much less powerful than a big wagon they appear to do electric ones if you lack diesel skills ?
  7. The "black act of alarm monkeying" Diagnosis with out tools- Unplug & shake the battery , does it rattle like a skeleton having a wank in a biscuit tin ? look at the current reading displayed on the keypad is probably gonna be 1000mA + ? remove one lead form battery is probably gonna be 450mA it may well be warm & sooty in the endstation pull the battery fuse on the pcb you'll probably get 100 Battery Fuse failed or similar on the display in day mode (proves the fuse is good) When you pull the mains & The system just dies Battery fuse Battery Or endstation pcb Pull a known good battery in & repeat Diagnosis with a multimeter- A battery has a float charge of less than 100mA an uncharged battery say 1000mA, measure the current you should be able to watch it fall to float charge, Transformer kicks out 20vac, The battery leads will either measure nowt or around 14vdc depending on product with no battery fitted Proper alarm co. will have a battery tester & current reading of the system in day & alarm ?

  20. Hi David, I've been trying to get in touch for a while now about your website but can't seem to get through to you... I figured either you've been eaten by alligators or you’re just plain swamped. If you have been eaten by alligators, my deepest sympathy goes out to your family members. If you’re still alive however, one of the following is more likely to have happened. I hate to keep pestering you, so please pick one response and let me know what our next step should be. A - Yes, I’ve been eaten by alligators. Please send flowers. B - No, I haven’t been eaten by alligators, but you may wish I had been, because I have decided I have no interest in a new website. Sorry, you’re sunk (thanks for your frank honesty. I can handle it.) C - Yes, I’m still interested I’ve just been busy – get in touch and let’s talk. I'd really appreciate it if you could just ping me a quick reply with either A, B, C to let me know where you stand! I wonder if everyone get the same email or does this got out to to just the nutters ?
