  3. would it not been easier to make a few BFO holes in the coving shove the wire to the next BFO in the coving, rather than butcher the wall ? 1/2 a bag should sort your work- but I understand its still hard to get hold of?

  7. there's gonna be very little face to face training, all the fire modules are gonna be class room based TSI regular posters are embittered trade professionals & school kids fishing alarms out of skips If you want to work in the industry, apply for job somewhere diy skills & basic electronic & electrical will paper qualifications are great to have, but not the same as practical knowledge

  19. yes alarms are the work of satan.... at shade under £80 for a blue keypad.... if you've not got one already, get a dog
  20. I used to have jobs where you needed triple ladders to get to the endstation.... The kit needs fitting where its safe & easy for a bloke to get to
  21. do you have a fear of heights ? why not get a job in an industry which put little plastic boxes up using triple ladders....
  22. coloured wires & basic DIY skills, shave a monkey & kick it though a branch of screwfix, if its holding a multi meter & screwdriver on the way out.... vola you have have an alarm monkey however if you can take a current reading your over qualified ? The easy way to find out if your suitable for a job is to go & get one, if you can't do it or don't like find a different one
  23. invent a time machine, pop back a few years ago, subscribe to a maintenance contract with a local alarm co. the problem will never have happened ? if you can alter the space time continuum, so I never become involved with alarms it will greatly be appreciated

  25. I spunked £160 up the wall to check a feature worked only to find it been removed... its the way it goes ?
