    buy a cheapo acer laptop & throw it away when it breaks...

    rip it out & put a decent lighting controller it, (but nobodys make anything to compete with it ?) take the cover off & walk test it (they go opaque with age swap sensor around to see it the fault follows work the pots back & forth to see if the lux sense are at a working level swap a sensor with a new one fault finding is 2 man job after hours, it cheap to put the lights on timer

    IIRC the IP rating refers to the electronics ? the E (Economy version) didn't have has rubber gasket seal on the internal plastic cover

    no, another young lad DD will be removing tat however by the time it comes off the wall its had 20yrs of sunshine, rain & birdshit on the plastics...

    2005ish we did some flats you won't be replacing a 2nd floor ewd of a ladder... My person fav was end stations needing a triple ladder for access !

    the recommenced minimum height is 3m ? having to stand on a leaded bay was not uncommon however- working on this can't ready be done safety off a ladder?

    I believe you can edit the registry on your XP / Win 7 machine so it an "EPOS terminal" & continues to receives updates from windows

    OP - Prying the case apart at height is pain, getting it to close again is pain... Have fun.

    the rep showed me the plastic cased ion & a dongle, I knew where they got the dongles form them from & asked why I should buy there's, they run really hot at 12v & they where concerned at the fire risk (IIRC)

    the 9800 was in the market place in the late 1980's.... rkp, digi footprint, priner outputs... 30 odd years later- this sort of tat still selling well.
