a yale / cisa latch (you will need to fit the lock cylinder if its he only entrance) or a surface solenoid bolt is what I probably look to do.- Work extension and tech upgrade
but there's always a trap, doors appear to be made to no recognised standard, apart for the option of a kitemarked euro cylinder ? sort of thing often found on a porta unit... your mag lock will reduce the head of the door & should be in transom if you've not purchased the door & frame, an alloy door with a sash lock & deadlock factory fitted would be my preference- Work extension and tech upgrade
If you can choose a time of day when the sun isn't sun glaring of your shiny fall pipes.... Take pic of the door you wish to secure, (both sides) I'm happy to offer expert advice find some thing else to take the piss out of...- Work extension and tech upgrade
I would have purchased a door with locking system built into it ? Steel door sets are normally a fire doors, or is you premises nr the local crack den ?- Work extension and tech upgrade
Why would you want a surface magent on a new ( I assume) steel door ?- ADE Optima Compact

Oddly I've some europlex branded rkp's in the warehouse 3721w (white) & also 3724 expanders (grey) all BNIB- Wanna
wow, If you shaved a monkey & kicked him though screwfix, as long came out wearing a pair of trousers, a pair boots & holding a screwdriver you've got an alarm monkey* * or most other tradesmen- Wanna
He assumed I was taking the piss when I said to check the faint beeping from his keypad wasn't the the smoke alarm low battery beep.... He then sulked away, came back on different a/c & then returned on the 1st a/c Pricing, you can ask whatever you want for a job I can help people for free, ask thousands or be some where in the middle of 3 quotes.... which is the normal feedback I get. Normally if the customer is being quoted lots of money for a modest job, either the local conman has been round or honest people are trying their hardest not to win the work, I assume Paul experienced the later- Wanna
Unhinged & spamming the forum, Pete had to ban him ASAP or give him job as a moderator- Wanna

Glad you back Paul, really did miss you Happened many times, I'm more than happy to send a man & an invoice... but I've always asked people to be certain the beep is coming from the alarm & not smoke alarm. Personally I've had been told there's no smoke alarms in the house only to attend & find a pair still in the packet from B&Q which have being waiting a couple of years for the home owner to fit Found a "Free" British Gas Co3 alarm in roll top desk, beeping with low battery, I also get lots of OAP's complaining about the "Free" battery powered smokes beeping (fitted by the fire brigade) Couple of hundred quid to renew a basic house alarm on the old cables Smoke alarms have a recommend life of 10 yrs, to replace a pair of mains powered smokes cira £100 as booked work- Wanna
Paul the panel has failed, it cira 30 yrs old If it had been serviced properly it may have lived longer.... However I suspect its probably never got used, as the keypad would have probably given out some yrs ago. Alarms is very odd trade, people are happy to rip out 30yr old block paving but amazed I can't get them a keypad for 30 yrs old alarm...- New to the forum
don't think his bus pass is valid outside the county ?
