  1. PM your details I will pop it in the post
  2. Sab1045 bell module I fitted these in the past but can't recall who made them, red/ blk goes to a comfort led
  3. I think we'd about finished with them when I started I recall the sticker s being reprinted to suit the size of cequra with a tel. No with a few digits less than today
  4. no its a "scancom" digi unsure of model but dated 1984 ? the trick with bell modules was to leave them in the plastic bag & it stopped most of the rusting
  5. This was removed the other week from a adaptable box in loft, oldest scantronic Digi i recall seeing
  6. IIRC we started buying CQR Cequra's early 1990's, the 1st batch lasted forever.... I can't recall the last anti foam device I removed, I have an old bell module that came down earlier in the yr , I'll pop a pic sometime
  7. their was a foam pedant (cqr ?) which had magnet to keep in vertical, foam or a 1/2 a brick being chucked a the bell would knock it in to alarm there has been all sorts of clever stuff, however the industry is very "price sensitive"
  8. IIRC "Viper foam detector" pcb within plastic case, size of shock sensor IR Led + Receiver below the case Used to FA when the housing filled with webs or bugs ect... Used to FA when it got dark after it had be powered up the 1st time Google has no pics & I've not see one in yrs....

    Hi!

I'd assume it would be simple to achieve with lighting control system... Finding somebody who be willing to pay for it is different matter
  10. lol 1st result in google is TSI from 2006
  11. I was toying with moving over to these- These are the small speaker the large speaker ones haven't turned up yet In the flesh they not any smaller in profile than normal speaker https://www.knightfireandsecurity.com/product/grade-3-internal-sounder-octone/ However starting small with something like the above would still be a significant project...
  12. @gabs an extension speaker in its basic form is just a speaker in a box You need to have mould made & could use a 3rd party to produce a run of plastics Speakers would be bought in, production would be putting leads on ect... assembly & packing As a hobby you'd probably cover your costs... As a business you'd probably loose money
  13. to set up manufacturing you'd go to a venture captial co. However I'd assume CSL have made lots more £ than any panel maker ever has & there a "marketing co." ?
  14. Produce a pp3 power standalone shock sensor like we used to buy in the early 90's Produce commercial controls which network together rather than panels & expanders ? Produce an 8 zone wire panel with onboard keys, which is nice & slim cuase it got a NiMH battery There loads of stuff which could be made, the hard part would be making money
  15. Consumer electronics ? or something like a room thermostat is 1/2 the price of 9948 but the development & build cost must be way cheaper An expensive thermostat is about the same cost of commercial controls & keypad but the development cost must be way cheaper & in your warehouse you can fit 20-30 in same space as metal endstation
  16. If I was insane enough to get involved in the manufacture of alarm stuff- Happytronic would import cheap & cheerful tat from the far east, say sounders or lead acid batteries if this proved to be successful the most simple product to start in house manufacture would be an tampered extension speaker, I suspect creating a commercially successfully alarm panel manufacturer from nothing is very hard ...
  17. 4 I assume- ADE came from logic basic key operated panels & each new model became more complex than the previous ? Texecom was cheap Pir maker which expanded the range into a vertias then employed a 3rd party to engineer the premier ? Pyronix was a cheap Pir maker, (mid 80's be 5 x 2019 prices) expanded out to making other sensors, sounder & then low end panels, in the end purchasing a proper panel maker I'd also assume if you had the ability to produce intruder alarm controls you would make a lot more doing something different ?
  18. I have assume it was rapier if the PCB was'nt marked up Toplock ?
  19. no, however I have once swapped all insides into a texecom oddsey 3 housing
  20. Kinda thing Arf used to bang on about
  21. your 25yr alarm is working great apart from it false alarming.... lid tamper is either- "lid of the control equipment" adjust switch, adjust lid switch / or pcb failing A failed or old battery "External sounders tamper" Switch (adjust) lid (adjust) the bell module / pcb (replace whole sounder) the cable between the sounder(s) & the controls Personally I'd rip the both the controls & bell out as their old tat
  22. looks like spam- link removed
  23. long shot, but before defaulting try powering down whilst in day mode, if your eng code will silence the panel when restarted it may let you into eng mode
  24. You'd need the prat symbol, not the bat symbol... there's some shite about the wattage of halogen tube (it is /was harder to buy 500w?) however light is measured in lumens,
  25. Hidden cupboard full of the no duty paid cigs & tabaco...
