your 25yr alarm is working great apart from it false alarming....
lid tamper is either-
"lid of the control equipment"
adjust switch,
adjust lid
switch / or pcb failing
A failed or old battery
"External sounders tamper"
Switch (adjust)
lid (adjust)
the bell module / pcb (replace whole sounder)
the cable between the sounder(s) & the controls
Personally I'd rip the both the controls & bell out as their old tat
long shot, but before defaulting
try powering down whilst in day mode,
if your eng code will silence the panel when restarted it may let you into eng mode
You'd need the prat symbol, not the bat symbol...
there's some shite about the wattage of halogen tube
(it is /was harder to buy 500w?)
however light is measured in lumens,
IIRC alarm cable is rated 1A at 12vdc
Should this device fail & cause death, injury or fire.
The implications could an insurer refusing to pay out or a prison term

however may not be current
p1. 1st use a test butt to call the no, from the line block nr controls, does it work ?
note adsl, star services or all manner of stuff will prevent your digi from working
p2 set up restore options correctly
p3 as above
& I bet you thought I was taking the piss...
probably needs battery's, however the unit may have failed, or just require relearning.
Personally I recommend trying to nail your installer down on a price to replace all battery's
as here's a scan of the factory fault finding guide-
