  1. for under £40 you can buy a durable accurate multimeter When its gets lost or broken I'm not gonna give a shiney shit...
  2. You'll never get the same reader twice Multimeter - I bet is bought in from HungFu
  3. old ACT stuff was TES of Taiwan, Currently have a Martindale which quite nice (which I think is BRK precision) Cheapest I'd go is Temma or Uni-Trend, below that whats the point ?
  4. most stuff is re branded Chinese stuff,
  5. its radio & its made by visonic
  6. I assume hosted exchange works our cheaper than a server & software ? An ebay office 2016 licence is a couple of quid, probably not quite legitimate...
  7. in principle its a good idea, however its nots gonna make you rich...
  8. there's a small amount of people who want a proper alarm, a smaller still amount who want maintenance, a smaller amount again who want proper signalling, & not all of these want a URN
  9. yeah, Norm put £50 on his company c/card & made data a mod

  13. like this... ain't most sliders cantilever, made in the factory & installed from a hiab ? a track on the floor being the pikey way to do it ?
  14. in the DM it said she pulled the gate closed & it fell on top of her, (cctv) I assume when closed only gravity held it in place?
  15. post the link
  16. @SFB SolutionsFrom your question I assume your experiences are in FM rather than a proper alarm co. ? Accreditation is expensive to gain & maintain, there's easier ways to make more money (IMHO)
  17. but the PSU does'nt have the loading of running all the devices of your full system ? I'd assume a new battery with the new controls ? eg- warranty work ?
  18. anybody looked on ebay ? the guy selling the radio EWD's has an "interesting" amount of new stock & all the old tat he's ever removed
  19. Not covered by the "IIRC" ?
  20. I'd assume open unwanted keypad, snip each wire in turn. Turn off on other keypad & see if it sets ? I doubt the system knows who many keypads are fitted but might have global tamper. Led on pir will be jumper or dil switch setting... You can have loads of amazing features on an new alarm control, however there very few that want to pay proper money...
  21. personally I'd replace the controls as yours is DIY gash from maplins if your prepared to spend to a couple of hundred pounds you should be able to get a new set of controls with 2 new rkps, a battery & external box, which work as your desire. if you too cheap & want a diy fix, remove 1 keypad & deselect the led on the pir
  22. welcome back OX!
  23. does the alarm relay also open on AM ? is the sensor nr a door ?
  24. what controls is on ? is it on the main board or an expander or off keypad?
