  1. Iirc dell printers are rebranded Lexmark I have cheapo mono dell printer & a Lexmark multifunction cira £160inc vat However genuine toner is dearer than others. Scanning stuff is quicker & easier with a brother ADS rather than using MFP
  2. +150mA for the controls ? + bell, modern low current one 60mA in day call it 500ma for easy math ? lets call the 2200mA panel battery 2.5A for easy math? so just 5 hr standby I'd assume the psu to be rated 1A & assume the system will draw more than this in alarrm ?
  3. remove all wired devices off the system & set & then unset the alarm if a fault are still logged, move the router further away from the controls & try again if you get it working next test is wire everything back set it , remove power & let it ring for a bit turn it off & leave the power off for bit longer....
  4. because a panel, keypad, app card & 3 zem is much dearer than an enforcer + 4 zem ?
  5. My old alarm collector pops in once a week & Empties the wheelie bin
  6. just in case anyone cares rkp- pcb- imagines from google
  7. whats a vallient boiler to buy £800 upwards ? then you need someone to fit it.. Back in the 1990's they sold lots of Vauxhall Cavaliers, however I can't recall the last time I saw one on the road Prima 9 was about around £56 +vat back in the 1990's the ones I fitted are all long replaced. Unless your retaining your alarm to match up with your CRT telly & fake teak hifi, I can see no reason why you'd want to keep it. However should you find someone, to "mot" your alarm as one off job, request they supply & complete a BSIA logbook (inculding the NCR reading pad in the back) If I was hard up & needed to fill hrs I'd want £5 + an extra 1hr over a visit to do this
  8. 3 attempts at communicating every time the the system is open or closed... Digi programmed ? so- 4 wired zems on an enforcer + wired bell(s) ? all powered off the controls ?
  9. I'm thinking 1994 ish & little over 1/2 the price of 9800 ? wheres this advert getting posted ?
  10. assuming its peizo type sounder... could be shafted, might get louder by letting it "ring" personally I 'd want to bin the controls & sounder, putting new shiny kit in its place
  11. you can never leave....
  12. well this engraving looks even more pissed than you ?
  13. ac voltage comes onto the board & charged to dc volatge to run the system a 9600 came out in late 80's so could be upto 30yrs old, unless its a duff battery or the system is overloaded its probably the pcb on its way out
  14. Exclusive line?
  15. you probably already known how to, but I'll say how I would check a digi. test butt on monitior, when you toggle an output on com2400 you'll hear it dial the no. then receiver answer, the data sent & the acknoledgement which tell the digi it's successful & to stop. Adsl, funny dial tones ect might stop the receiver being heard, the digi will normally try multiple times. The digi also needs to be enabled in the menu so it works It's hard to work out digi issues without a telephone handset / butt another basic test is dial the receiver off the line & see if the receiver answers
  16. you have a testphone ?
  17. currently have direct sales model as there as there is only a modest amount of product being sold?
  18. you mentioned NSI ? Perhaps I'm mistaken, but I thought you'd either have to be approved by NSI or suitable screened to be a sub contractor rather than found by google ?
  19. so XYZ security ring up out the blue & ask can you do "x" next tuesday? maybe pop an email to you to confirm & you pop along & do it ?
  20. will they sting you for call out ?
  21. The end user wants you to sort out an alarm fitted last month?
  22. still have a small no. of connections, still slowly growing in no.
