New cctv install and advice on Brand /Product
al-yeti replied to CARETAKER46's topic in !!..DIY Installers..!!
Complete kit might not include cables to that distance unless your getting premade cables of a long length and have worked that one out Are they all varifocal cameras ? Otherwise fixed lens won't give you a close up of the car , although 5mp on zoom is quite good evening when playing back -
Thermal imaging would do it

Dahua is not bad brand , but if you run into problems what will you? -
What you mean simple solid alarm? So insurer has insisted? You have an alarm ? Then did they give a spec? Why not get an alarm company in? Ask them , you will have to get quotes from them to meet whatever insurance spec you have been given and won't make difference what anyone says here

So what's distance from nearest camera point to where car is parked , I assume distance becomes shorter? Maybe do an overhead drawing By the way if your going DIY hiwatch is probably the equipment you may want to use , but with a full size recorder not the little square box in some kits , they are hybrid versions so you can fit diff cams to them depending on what you need Shame you don't have budget £2500 ? Do it once get contractor in? Your far from Manchester ? I sure someone near you can give you a quote less hassle for you but whatever DIY it if you have to -

Ok so next thing is to work out what lens you need on the camera to zoom from your house to the 50m mark and work out the size you need at that distance A good bullet with zoom lens would do it I am guessing something with 22x motorised zoom will do it but bullet with long range leds You boss going to give him some DIY advice or what , shall I keep blagging my way through -
What do you install there?

-
Kyocera if you can up the budget
-
What you talking about ? Just remove power and battery , bell will ring , apply power bell will stop unless you wired it up wrong
-
Turn arc on put any details in , restart panel , then goto arc details again and remove them and restart , worst you can get is more Comms errors lol
-
You buy this panel new? You have manual , what about looking it up dude Meaning arc thing I had a G2 go lunatic on me once when it wasn't seeing the hand shake ,kept sending errors until I scrapped it
