  1. Needs to be put in REAL servers I reckon with good connections , all costs though of course
  2. Yes very harsh , but you could go for hik vision entry range kit will set you back maybe £350? Then get a hik installer to fit in 14hrs for £200 and your sorted.
  3. Harry moss hardcore diy car alarms , I remember lashing in a few
  4. You got any 4mm twin and earth handy?
  5. I think win turbines are quite cheap these days so would be able to charge a battery room and planning permission in a cemetery should be easy
  6. How are the cameras powered , via same cat5 or locally at each camera? What's the distance to next room ?
  7. Looks like gel filled copper cable , you havnt seen it on Cctv
  8. But his browser maybe sending him to 80 auto and all day stuff
  9. So switch off the remote management on the router if it's available I assuming via the browser it's directing you to the router login because port 80 does that in some I think
  10. So what router have you got I looked through the thread didn't spot it?
  11. And it's not the static IP as your ports still have to be forwarded , although static is nice to have
  12. Is it a phishing site? Any volunteers to check it? I like these posts they get better and better to post domains lol
  13. Hkc don't have much choice really , otherwise will lose chunk of market , especially with all the freebies other manufacturers give
  14. I don't understand anything these lot are on about Anyhow to give you "new" ideas try using a different output , so example keep black on zero volts and then if a programmable output is available then connect red there and programme it to positive when in alarm if that's what you want But now we need alarm men to answer next bit , when programming an output on this panel Does he have to cycle it to make it take affect or come in and out of engineering etc blah? Come on you house bashing alarm men what you think?
  15. Means your bell is already zero , did you change the bell trigger polarity by mistake at some point as they are normally switch negative by default
  16. Will this panel be able to power the sound bomb like this?
  17. Isn't the there a section for user options and select no to everything associated to that user accept arm and disarm and so on , don't know the panel but assume that's what it has
  18. Hmmm, if that is really texecom reply looks ridiculous, that goes for any manufacturer
  19. I actually thought you were trying to.do something else , but I try and house blag bash my way through finding an answer, (trying to earn my alarm man status but I will be dead before then I reckon) Back on topic what does the coma centre want to see , a certain protocol ? Is it dialling , modem answers but then drops the call or just hangs there?
  20. So what does the modem at the opposite end want to see? Do they have a spec ?
  21. Hik is widely used by trade and widely used by diy so bit of hit an miss with house bashers like me, good kit it seems, no real incentive for buyer / diyer Obviously the real alarm here have big contracts so they r ok, time will tell , something has to give
  22. I thought tool is naff haha , must be Chinese copy I had
  23. But the Gp only sees you for 10mins , I think they are way overpaid he's ssaib , and nsi go out there way to get registered and make sure they install to a standard (so do non insurance approved installers) But it's the only we you will get that £2500 if you get done over I think you should give him £350 labour So diy it And don't worry about the £2500 you might not get
  24. What are you missing..... That bit comes when you diy it , ask the local installers for more quotes now that you have an idea £250 is high? Tell that to your Gp, dentist , solicitor and that there £350 a day is high to, but then they are paid to do a particular service Sorry just an observation
