  1. Looks modern , mine was a Motorola brick with red LEDs for display , those you would memorise about 20mobile numbers that's about it
  2. Dual contact to garage door
  3. True , keep outa my way
  4. I thought your were blagging http://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/39546-starting-up/?fromsearch=1
  5. Is that your skip? You got another refurb..?
  6. So is it built into the panel signal level etc , meaning you could make one up
  7. Does Texecom have a range tester ?
  8. At least offer it, and show what's new , some don't bother And it won't cost a pound for the job either
  9. Why? If it's wired on a 9800 simply change control etc , you really are spacker eh
  10. Standard from someone like axa with failure to operate is £90 plus £2500 excess for failure, I just had a peak the other day what the usual mob would say
  11. Yeah keep the old rubbish going excellent
  12. Yeah it will work , discussed this with Mr texe a while ago , but with a contact in an IP box half way used as a repeater
  13. Cable? Join maybe? Amongst a few
  14. Can you not bury the cable where it is maybe carefully unclip it Although your better off ripping whole system out , if your renovotaing completely replace cables while your at it , if not try and save the cables , system equipment probably might work but better having something upto date
  15. How many Yale's you got on service?
  16. You better hire someone who knows the regs or I suppose get allot of training yourself
  17. Many don't , but many still do want it
  18. If a panel swap, are you saying you can see all the cable routes on the surface so know they are individual? And no joints etc
  19. Sounds like you mixed up wiring , because cables maybe going through a join , there some messed up wiring out there ( mine getting better haha)
  20. How does wiring something to an aux relay output ie dialler make it invalid Aslong as correct cable used?
  21. Yes because, Samsung ddns will know your IP, the dmz will forward traffic to the fixed IP , (dmz being static IP of your DVR)
  22. You said all your best mates from ere, come on man tell him the truth
  23. Ok I saw a bit more You have set dhcp on DVR which is giving it IP 192.168.1.8 Then you dmz 192.168.1.200 which won't do anything You must set the DVR same as dmz IP , dmz will help you make it work without worry about port forwarding , once you have it working you can look to change that after Set DVR STATIC 192.168.1.200 SAME AS DMZ I like title "epic"
  24. I didn't watch all that but you back to first problem Set to static not dhcp You have also changed the port number I think to a different range ie 4528 which also has to be put into the app Point is don't keep changing things on the ports otherwise you will go in circles
