    poor wifi signal

Yes you could get a cheap version repeater or booster which can take a cable but from what I seen they still don't work well so you could just get another router with onboard WiFi and connect that with maybe a small amount of changes in settings This is cheap way of doing it As swb said access point, but decent ones cost money

    poor wifi signal

You could do that yes , it's cheap way of doing it , better than a cheap booster or repeater
  5. Verisure are giving away equipment to get there connections , lying out of there teeth about being approved around here , but as it's cheap people take it
  6. Maybe it was connected to a dialler or GSM device? And it's telling you it can't send a signal out ? Just guessing , did you change your broadband phone supplier and it disconnected your alarm from the line , it maybe your installer connected the line even if you didn't get reports No idea otherwise
  7. Best to get something GSM with cheap monthly SMS SIM not payasgo
  8. They just work centre , very well not ally on the 9651
  9. You want to part set not set areas and zones there is way to do that to Setting zones and areas is different to part sets Then because some areas are seperate you can disarm what you want , nothing will be perfect but he should be able to do it
  10. You can if the panel has enough groups But realistically what your asking for is no offence kind of stupid for residential, say you have 25 zones , your not in reality going to set them individually , except if you group them or as you said put them in areas What is more likely, if available , you need a bigger panel with more zones that will give you more areas Wallet is needed , he probably knows all this already if he's got you this far unless he's a diyer
  11. Yeah do it man If you can help it leave cables where possible, maybe can use them in future
  12. More or less yes If there's a bellbox outside it may die quickly , or ring for 20 mins Worst case ladder hammer
  13. On this panel the external bell shouldn't sound when you take the cover off But you can disconnect the internal speaker if codes are no good
  14. You mean short your leads make sure your meter goes zero , and it's unlikely to be near zero if long runs but low reading I would break the block if it's not working anyway , identify each tamper , test each one and then locate problem But as said above upgrade panel or get rid of internet.....
  15. Not my expertise But wouldn't it silence otherwise? System will be in fault , you can always active something to find out
  16. Better to replace panel, as if your competent as you say you are, it will be allot less hassle , and you won't go in circles
  17. No man You should tell customer you cant help and if he doesn't upgrade the panel from you he will end up getting someone else to do the same thing And walk away ?
  18. What about a max 4 set in standalone mode maybe you can use it to set u set , the Honeywell uses a set key switch input ? I can't remember really But you would need the prox tags aswell so £50 no good But what Pete said should work , although a stand alone hkc keypad would do it to if your in the trade
  19. Mashed up the board or tamper when you put.batyery in?
  20. Blue light meaning PIR? So finger near it would be normal Maybe cover isn't on correctly or you snapped the back tamper plate? Door sensor may not have triggered alarm if battery was completely flat perhaps
