I am not a pro
Ring cameras are not real CCTV , they are door bells and floodlights with a camera on them
Substitute is just cos they cheap and aimed at DIY market
You plan to start it as a ring installer hence you fit a door bell get your £60 and your done , I assume this is really y your asking
No hate , it's DIY product with alloy of flaws
I prefer stopping the break in , if CCTV is present it's a.small bonus , but prefer to have alarm with some kind of monitoring
Don't know , but now are you not talking about logging into panel?
As for software you can create more users and delete when they leave
Not sure how others work but seems to work for hkc
Anyone register with some companies just blag it
Even with hikvision you can get away with it and blag it
But you couldn't get hkc software without being registered the software itself keeps tabs on you , and they know when you download it and login
So then you know how to fix , as no point using professionals lol
Anyhow what he said above is correct , you call it arrogance but it's forum banter , arrogance is your reply
Follow through the detailed help from Mr H and think about what jw just said
Then go back to your Porsche vehicles , while I work on some Toyota hybrids all the same to me......
Was being sarcastic..... Just forum banter dude , your still ignoring the battery has been running for charging for three years and it's the first thing to swap out , but you say you measure good voltage from PSU but panel reports low voltage
I would say your testing things wrong somehow but it's all hear say as we can't see what you do
Change battery , failing that psu
Cool your ok then , don't need a PSU don't need a battery
Sorted
As said 3 years is enough for battery in my.opinion , perhaps it's damaged your psu
I doubt you have a battery drop tester for this type ?
Standard connections
I would strap to pipes house bash ,
I don't like those awful conduit some put round front of houses better to hide otherways where possible
That was my point , few of you have problems , and it's a website issue which isn't going to go away just like the issue with Samsung and O2 DVRs etc and others
Some products are not that well designed just my opinion when it comes to using apps , they just going to run into problems
But you lose the vpn when they do an update or lose the settings it seems
Maybe op just needs to use DMZ lol
Yes man
Plenty of burglaries taking place with ring , easy to know your not home and some don't give a monkies if they get the image of there face or not , they simply break in take what they want
Ring ring ring doorbell to the rescue
See this is the one, so many I ask y not alarm first (even tho more margin if I get the CCTV) I push them to take alarm something makes noise so they more panicked to leave without the recorder if they can find it
It's a texe problem dude , how many times you here of panels having problems
Yea you got swb who can sort problems out probably easier than most but the texe products for general coms are not well made hence there firmware updates
Sounds good lol
But you can get this on some recorders let's s at basic him which will backup short snaps to one drive
Why why are you all Muppets going on about ring ring ring
Basically it's cheap DIY , which some are putting in as if they are some kind of trader of CCTV for devices which are DIY
Be serious , ring is a door bell with a camera and flood light with a camera they make money from Muppets who want cheap which is fine because that's why it's a DIY product
Seriously no other cable.modem will work? But that's there issue even in old days , to stop people just connecting everything is split on coax so you have to have there box
I would say it's a smartcom poor design issue , not being able to find pin holes correctly makes nonsense
But this is standard for texe on the coms side of there own equipment
I assume there's no alternative to the virgin router? And no way to block the updates ?
You can't save the config file ? And then upload when it goes wrong or something?
