I thought it was expensive kit , then.... https://www.securitywarehouse.co.uk/catalog/intruder-alarm-c-36/intruder-alarm-ancillaries-c-36_46/texecom-premier-elite-flasher-interface-p-3198.html £28 odd quid cheap , strange to call it OTT
  3. Odd that , many use cat5 for analog aswell What you on about dude ? Or what's point
  4. Plenty of issues dude But realistically the suppliers have a lot of problems, very slow on euiqpment But then probably because so much is made by Huawei , they have to rethink , all of bt dongles and many others made by them to, then they need to swap over as they go along , 5yeara I just meant you will see obviously allot more VoIP in residential But let's see eh , maybe covid 20 will put a stop to it .....
  5. Cool, from the big aluminium radiator tamper you managed to flash firmware ......
  6. Well not exactly it will be good five plus years before we see it.in a big way Although allot of new installs are going in IP route , all business around here I have seen are being given VoIP by bt Virgin are still mixing it , doesn't seem to be priority , perhaps expense for them and they need money for the airline .....
  7. Missed that bit ,I assume compact can't have an IP card
  8. Won't work Either buy a GSM dialler Or tell installer fit up an IP card and get you app control Latter being more complicated but probably cheaper on long run as the gsm unit is best used with a contract sim so you can receive messages without worrying about toping up Of course this is all if you just want some kind of notifications as opposed to "proper monitoring " which involves higher monthly fees and contracts
  9. But a hybrid version less hassle more options
  10. Nice internet nice i7 Point was get new alarm aswell Normally one bell is wired to the other , so they must have wired and looped the tampers in the panel, perhaps parallel or they using a pair from one bell to the other You need to figure out how it's wired and prove each cable is working , but if they are ok it's probably one of the bell boxes You got ladders and get working
  11. Loop out bell tamper in panel? Loop bell tamper in one bell Loop bell tamper in other bell Determine which bell has incoming and loop the tamp there Assuming one bell is not a dummy? Should help you find out the problem but as you said above a few decades have gone by now How did you make this post ? Dialup?
  12. You could buy newer panel bell etc but with visonic you genert in same situation , batteries don't last long If every 12months the price of battery is to much Rip it out as value of what your protecting might not be much
  13. You bit the bullet to and upgraded yeah?
  14. H been sending you his sermons ? Practice for tomorrow?
  15. Lol that's worst advice I have heard He has some cables so hybrid is best option Wireless is last option
  16. Dude get rid of it and buy a hybrid panel and your done really
  17. Lol Many people say I don't need CCTV or an alarm "I have ring"
  18. Ah ok , I never saw the config change on anpr , wouldn't that be only if the DVR itself has that anpr control Just seemed as if the op NVR doesn't have all those facilities on the NVR to have changed the him , except obvious stuff like image settings etc
