in this game if its 8 years old its probably been super-seeded and not made anymore

Sounds like a dealership / franchise, i know a few people that got their fingers burnt by a large national, as their sales reps were selling systems to people who couldn't make the repayments and the T & C s were very good to make sure they didn't lose out.

Volt drop will matter as I'll be running the power through the relay 200m away? Power will run from the "panel" through the relay 200m away then back to the LED which is located on the panel... so round trip of 400m...
I'm just wondering if there's a better solution.
Current is 20mA.. LED is the type is fitted on industrial switch panels?? if that makes sense.
Why run the poer to the relay at the contact and back?
Run the contact wires to the panel RB007 trasistorized relay then its only doing 200m

Hes using a relay to switch it, so the power must be local to the LED so volt drop doesnt matter. 12vdc 1k resistor

remove the speaker wires and check again

Haha, I make you right on that Galaxyguy. How would I go about testing it? I've 'belled it out' and put my meter on it and it's coming back at under 1k ohm. Does that sound about right for the distance?

But is the above with the 680ohm EOL resistor in place
Or a 1k instead of the 680 ?

couple this with the advances in technology which can now be purchased at a fraction of the cost it was 5 years ago.
Equipment is cheaper now?
Cheap tat is but if your going the proper route with adpro or equivalent then its not, redwalls have nearly double in price in the last 5 years due to bring out a new range.
But the again have seen sites with cheap DVRs and cameras and site site manager checks every now and then.

Well.....you could keep phoning with jobs that don't tick any of their boxes, that are on the other side of the country until finally they get fed up with you keep pestering them while they are trying to work and add you to the banned numbers on there phone. You did ask and that is the usual story with recruitment agencies
do you want to compare banned numbers list,
No 1 recruitment agencies
No 2 Leasing Companies
No 3 Cheap TAT CCTV distributors
-
Change in direction I reckon.

have you made sure that the door contact or how you are monitoring the lock is showing closed (1k), DCM wont open the door if it already showing open.
-
Thought a DCM was looking for o/c going to 1K on the RTE not 2K going to 1K
