Lol, many a time, even by good engineers Don’t use them unless I have too, but we had a big site with zones off RKP so the Ion was a non starter at that time, as the existing TS2500 had code lock timers in use as well :-(

I quite like some of the relics, (98 tick) what a great idea! But seem to have stood the test of time, never really liked Ion from the launch, loads of things missing that we wanted (zones on RKP for swap outs, code lock timers ect) we had the demo and it was a disaster, but the old boss made us fit some small domestics with it.i

You were banging that drum some time ago I recall? True. Would have made the alarm a luxury instead

I’m not keen on the ion stuff, I will inherit it but not sell it for sure, but there is far worse kit out there to be honest. did you rate the early scanny kit? @PSE

I’m not a fan and wouldn’t install it, but not every customer wants a rip out so, it’s good to have some options at least

I believe it might be an issue yes, I was asked this by them as if you are Unwell/ holiday ect. Someone needs to be able to provide engineer response, a secretary will not count, it has to be an engineer on the ground, or so I was told. i think there may be ways around it regarding “buddy” agreements and such, where another NSI firm would help you out. But this was the first question they asked me. definately send them an email and they will send you the application details and some prices or you could call them and have a word.

Congrats firstly are you the only engineer on the firm? i know they do an “application day” you can attend to see all the requirements and see how far off you are, it’s not free though.

That sounds interesting, a step forward for scantronic. you gonna trial it? id be interested in your findings as I have started to accumulate a few of these from new customers.

Why wouldn’t you stick with Texe? we didn’t like some of the opinions we heard about the Gal so we went from Menvier M series straight over to Texecom. i ask about ADI as you would get loads of help from them for obvious reasons

Was joking, are you interested in Honeywell as in a product? you have an account with ADI global?

Is the “radio alarm clock” on the same electrical circuit as the intruder alarm? as above, charging circuit or battery problem, follow instructions by 6 wheel. glad to hear you made it back out of hospital ;-)

I think it comes down to people being so attached to their phone, and want to be able to operate as much as possible from it. Ultimately the HA Systems will hijack the domestic intruder Alarm market

No. texecom yes, installed a smart com when it launched, as a comms device rather than as HA. not too interested in HA but times are changing. Smart com and connect app working very well, customer is well pleased so far
