  1. I didnt say tight I said hard, there is a big difference to being tight and things being hard, Freudian slip perhaps
  2. In the hallway above the picture rail, in the downstairs WC, in the lobby, in the porch, in the outbuilding, in the other outbuilding, in the wardrobe in the main bedroom, in the dressing room, under the kitchen sink, in the utility room, in the dumb waiter, in the lift room,in the gym, I could still go on
  3. Its in the control panel, call the person who installed it as it could be anywhere, loft, garage, kitchen cupboard. plant room, larder, under-stairs cupboard, airing cupboard, pantry, powder room, orangey, second bedroom, cellar, I could go on
  4. Ben you need to make 5 posts before anyone can PM you
  5. Borrow a battery are things really that hard for people out there?
  6. Nobody is likely going to want to install kit they have not supplied, it becomes a pain if it goes wrong with all sorts of warranty issues.
  7. Battery is two years past its sell by date needs to be replaced. Tamper could be battery, bell or any one of the circuits
  8. What lights are on the display when it happens?
  9. You wont find one, least not a good one. You need to find an installer clever enough and willing enough to do it for you, if you were closer we would do it we love doing the out of the ordinary.
  10. Bonus dayos
  11. The HKC app and the Risco app can be programmed to work wireless outputs, the can be named on the app ie lights, garage door, curtians, ect then from the app on your phone you can control the outputs. I already had Lightwave RF home automation kit in my house, so I wired the outputs into a preprogrammed remote control. Now my lights come on when I open the door and switch off shortly after I disarm the alarm, I can control the lights, curtians, and heating from either app lightwave or HKC. Potentially all systems with apps can do this. Your panel is a Castle Meridian as others have already mentioned
  12. Both of the systems proposed by Blitz are wireless, which is bizarre considering you have a wired system and all the wiring already in place. There are Honeywell installers here, I havent installed Honeywell for some time now so am not familiar with any of the latest products. I am familiar with the Risco App and it is good, and of course as previously mentioned the HKC app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=hkc.winterfell&hl=enTexecom also have an app as do Pyronix. If you post a pic here we will identify your panel for you
  13. Sounds like you purchased a 2.1Ah or 2.3Ah this will fit but may not last the full 12 hours, ideally you should use the same size battery as fitted as the engineer would have measured the current consumption and worked out the correct battery for the job. The other thing you may find if the battery has been faulty for some time the charging circuit may not charge the battery properly, you wont know this straight away, but in a few months its worth checking that the battery is still working. If it isnt you need to replace control panel and the battery.
  14. The internal battery has failed, it shouldnt go off when the power is switched off for at least twelve hours
  15. Also change the zone its wired into just to eliminate the panel.
  16. Ive seen that desk and sofa somewhere before?
  17. You mean ones floating on the other?
  18. You are welcome, if you nee any further advice dont hesitate to ask, and dont forget to come back and let us know how you got on
  19. I thought there was a reason James used CEO over MD, I just didnt want to appear stupid by asking what that reason was. Now I see that you also dont see any particular reason, I dont feel so stupid for asking.
  20. Thats his real title norm, Chief Execs are allowed in the UK as well as the US
