Well.....you could keep phoning with jobs that don't tick any of their boxes, that are on the other side of the country until finally they get fed up with you keep pestering them while they are trying to work and add you to the banned numbers on there phone. You did ask and that is the usual story with recruitment agencies

Please read the Do's and Don'ts marked in red if you cant be bothered with these rules we wont be bothered to vet you. Currently as a standard member you can only see/view about 50% of the forums in our community, the rest is only view-able upon being given Trade access which is not granted to every member that applies. We try to do the best to vet each new applicant to try and ensure they are actually in the trade, so firstly if you object to this please do not apply, secondly you should appreciate that this process takes time, so don't apply if your not prepared to wait (up to a few weeks sometimes) for approval. We vet active members 1st so get posting to jump the queue. You join on the understanding that what goes on in the trade forums stays in the trade forums, this is an area where views are freely expressed and the occasional heated debate may occur. We have a vast resource of equipment manuals, information and advice, which is entirely generated by our trade members efforts on an unpaid basis. Although we appreciate not everyone will have additional information to provide we still expect discussion and input or a regular basis from all trade members. Periodically we may downgrade trade members who (in our sole opinion) either do not visit often enough or who post very infrequently. Read Carefully: APPLICATIONS THAT DO NOT COMPLY WITH THE BELOW WILL BE IGNORED · DO NOT apply for trade membership/access unless you are already a forum member. · DO NOT apply if you are not active in the Fire/Security/CCTV/Access control Industry · DO NOT apply if you have not already made a minimum of 5 posts on the forum · DO post in the public forums while awaiting vetting as this may help speed up the vetting process. · DO NOT apply for trade membership/access unless you have made 5 or more posts. You MUST provide us with at least ONE of the following:READ CAREFULLY - Scanned/photo of your ID card (We wont contact your employer) - Copy of Public/Product Liability Insurance (We will check that this is not fake) - Contact telephone number for your employer AND yourself if relevant and Yell or website details for the company you work for. - Provide an Email address to us from your trade related domain(We will email you at the address you provide) This option will only be accepted from national and well known established companies, we do not have the time to check every small company. If you are a small co this option is not for you, please send Liability Insurance Read, understood and completely happy with the above? If so then please Private Message (PM) Vetting Click here to PM Vetting Read Carefully APPLICATIONS THAT DO NOT COMPLY WITH THE ABOVE WILL BE IGNORED

Gardtec 800 system alarm goes off randomly
PeterJames replied to Mt1967's topic in !!..DIY Installers..!!
Yes most bells will work or can be modified to work with this panel, they all come with wiring diagrams. I would suggest if it has not been serviced for a while that the CPU battery is replaced at the same time -

And the bell and the keypad and the panel, but if the tamper return on the bell is linked out at the panel the bell can still tamper on self actuating but does not indicate at the RKP -

Well ... if the tamper between the bell and the panel had been connected then the keypad would display the tamper fault. If the bell is sounding with no display at the keypad it could be a number of things. Most likely it will be the tamper switch on the bell, but it could be a problem with the wiring if the hold off has a intermittent connection, its unlikely to be the bell box battery or the panel battery. -

Just had this today from an insurer As I understood it LPS1277 is a third party certification scheme not yet compulsory in the UK. We changed a failed RedCare for a WW1 with the same grade, and the insurer is being a pain now. I wouldn't mind, but its a sticky label printer not exactly high end value from robbery point of view the risk is low.

USA alarm system for Europe
PeterJames replied to paolofc's topic in General Security & Fire Queries
There are a few co's in the UK that think tampers are not important, and we have much stricter rules regards guns and baseball bats -

USA alarm system for Europe
PeterJames replied to paolofc's topic in General Security & Fire Queries
Honeywell is available in Europe, well its quite popular here in the UK, but it will be a higher specification than the US version. If I recall correctly US do not have tamper circuits, they dont have external sounders in favour of a board in the garden, so the panel may not even have external sounder outputs -
Reading the plastic it says there is a back tamper, meaning that both lid and the tamer at the rear of the box needs to be closed
