  1. Hi and welcome
  2. It would be sensible to indicate whether ££50 per day is per man or for both of you though even £175 per day for a subbie is a little strong, and the area you cover
  3. he hasnt made enough posts, this site is not a free job site, its here for the benefit of the participants.
  4. Its not about the amount of posts its about the quality of the posts
  5. bonjour
  6. Quality assured companies have to show that they have carried out a ra as evidence that they have taken everything into consideration, including the customers requirements. The customer agrees or disagrees to the findings of the ra. the ra is the only way to insure that the installer has interpreted the customers requirements correctly
  7. I would be on it right now but I'm too busy working on my teleporting project, I have it sussed its just putting everything back in the right order I need to get. it would seem that Heisenberg's uncertainty principle is correct, if I can figure my way found that there will be no need for cars planes or trains.
  8. Fobs wouldnt change that a code or fp reader would. I can see us all one day walking around with unique technology built into us to start your car, even mobile phone and internet, videos and pictures of what you see and do that you can upload, we will be able to think texts and send them. Mind you having a phone call might look a bit weird to begin with, bit like those people walking around with bluetooth headsets. But imagine having the whole internet available in your head, its already possible just that nobody has the bottle to suggest it.
  9. Shunt for unset is worse than fobs! Lose your keys outside your house and anyone can get in. Shunt for starting the entry time is the most secure, however, many people do not want cable in their front door, it's much harder and more expensive especially with upvc doors. Keep your car keys separate from your front door keys, and keep the fob on your car keys that way if you lose your car keys they can't get in if you lose your house keys they can't switch alarm off.
  10. It the Paxton that provides the output not the lock so you just need to put a relay on the Paxton output and wire it as a final exit zone, don't forget to change the door contact zone to entry route otherwise it defeats the objective
  11. Area code for the out-building only it wont work if the system is fully set and I will switch it off when the builder is finished.
  12. He was using the building to plane doors and fit the locks, he was storing his tools in there so I gave him a code that switched off that out building. its only monitored when the system is full set so doesnt need a fob for the outbuilding while the system is unset.
  13. I have to disagree, as I recall most fa,s caused by code problems the numpty went further into the property to phone for help, so not only confirmed once but several confirms in most cases. Don't get me wrong I don't like fobs that much but I also see them as a necasary evil when it comes to large commercial and oap systems. Lots of people are just scared of alarm systems and they panic, my builder went into one of my out buildings the other day not realising it was armed, he had a code to switch it off but it took him by surprise he opened the door and panicked ran off I caught the whole lot on CCTV luckily I was in otherwise the arc would have been on the phone.
  14. It's just banter James I don't mind
  15. Hi and welcome
  16. The other thing to consider is the fact that these have been the popular choice for dd243 systems since circa 2005. And no reported burglaries due to lost or stolen fobs
  17. The other thing to consider is theft attractive property in the bathroom and attic. No burglar in his right mind is going to steal the soap from the bathroom, or your Christmas decorations from the attic. That said I would always recommend cover entrance points to the property
  18. Qfa much as fobs can be considered as a security risk, the amount of numpties that used to forget or mistype their code and then panic when I was an engineer was astronomical. It's unheard of nowadays
  19. LOL Not everything I sell is Chinese, HKC is Irish, I use three British Access control Systems, Our premium Hybrid DVR is built by us using Latvian Software and Korean Cards. and the kit I use for programming fobs and cards is Australian.
  20. Hi Tom Integrated systems are fine for one or five doors, but it really sounds like you will out grow a bolt on system quite quickly, I would be looking at using a separate P.C. access control system that uses the same "secure format" technology fob/cards as the alarm. Why? Normally you find that with intruder alarms that can also handle access control will not have the flexibility or features that a proper access control system has. You have already mentioned you need time and attendance, a decent PC based system can talk directly with your accounting software, but to make this work properly you should ideally use anti-passback to ensure all your employees clock in and out properly. There are many features that a proper PC controlled access control system can do that a intruder system with bolt on access control cant. We are an independent NSI Gold installer based in Sussex we would love the opportunity to come and discuss your needs we promise that we will listen and come up with a future proof solution that will work for you within your budget, without the jargon and hard sell. Thanks Dave LOL
  21. Hi Paul Welcome, I dont think ADT are a bad company they have got a lot of things right, and for their size they cope admirably.
  22. If the battery does not have enough charge in it it may not power the system fully, this could cause the system to not boot correctly. Mains first will power the system fully, and then charge the battery
  23. Bonjour bienvenue sur le forum
  24. As above power up mains first then battery
  25. hi
