  1. Risco have started charging for the cloud, and they can only charge their customers (the installer) Which means if you want to continue to use your app you have to pay your installer for it. To be fair nearly everyone else was charging for this service already, clouds cost money to build and run, so giving it away for free for as long as they did must have cost Risco a fortune.
  2. LOL! I might use that one
  3. Since my kids tried to buy a Lenard Nimmoy album via alexa I have had it set to no purchase. Most of what they showed was down to weak passwords on wifi, I was hoping to see something a bit clever, rather than an old boys ebay cameras being streamed. What I didnt get was why do you need your baby monitor to be internet connected? The whole point is so you can keep an eye and pop in if the kid needs you, you cant do that when your miles away, I guess you can keep an eye on the babysitter while you're down the pub, not sure I would use a babysitter I couldnt trust personally.
  4. Yes very interesting
  5. You may be able to still get the gardtec expander that works with those id biscuits, you can then use a gardtec 600 panel but the HKC panel is better by miles. HKC also sell id modules but they wont fit inside the detectors, they are nearly as expensive as a detector too.
  6. Nah I dont import intruder alarms, I looked at it but it was just tat, but I do still keep my eye on the tat.
  7. I am still getting plenty of people applying for trade without posting, I am unable to put you as trade if you have not made at least five posts, the system will not let me so post if you want trade access. If you cant follow these simple instructions then try facebook there is a security forum on there that seems to be full of plums that cant read.
  8. He has one It could be the screws holding the keypad up are screwed into the cable in the wall?
  9. You misinterpreted, lets put it another way, I dont need stuff I have people that work for me that do LOL I dont think gaz was asking if I had any jobs going James
  10. Fortunately Gaz I have managers that know stuff so I dont have to, I cant program alarm panels anymore either (well I say I cant I would have to read the manual first)
  11. They are obliged to, assuming that the customer is paying for their time.
  12. Apply for trade, but we still dont share engineers codes. Its bad practice and laziness, how would you ever know if its programmed correctly if you dont program it yourself. Please read the rules of application carefully before applying
  13. oh yeah I remember now. I cant think why I thought they were the same its probably because we sent engineers to do them both at the same time
  14. Welcome to the forum, Engineer codes are not shared on this site. Especially not in the public areas.
  15. Its cherry pickers as well but if you have a Pasma you have some working at height cover, I dont think there is an actual course we do ours in house
  16. If you still have the old keypad wire it in at the panel on a short bit of wire, then next time it happens if the keypad near the panel works you know its the cable, if they are both dead then its panel
  17. Only he knows the code, he is unlikely to tell you it because that will leave all his customers vulnerable, if it was over a year old you could ask him to default the code, or you could take ownership of the warranty and ask him to default the engineers code, once he has done that you are then responsible should it not work. Its a security system there is a clue in the name as to why installers wont let anyone have their engineer codes
  18. His accent is more "innit geezer !!!" Well if you want to be understood you need to make fookin sense!
  19. Can you say that in English?
  20. Hi how can we help?
  21. Liability Insurance, if your going to do your own jobs you should consider efficacy insurance. CSCS-PASMA-UKATA Would be the main three for subbing for us, cant get on construction sites without the first, and you need something to say your okay at working at heights the second one, and no one should be taking you on if you dont know asbestos when you see it.
