  1. That is one thing they have done to improve things they now have Hi Vision for the internet and Hik is no longer available to the GP and prices are harder to find
  2. God if you find Hik confusing you have no chance with proper CCTV, the main reason Hik is so popular is because no skill is required to install it, a trained monkey can do it. No set up, no back focusing, no setting changes required, just plug and play. Every security company, photo copy shop, locksmith, and painter and decorator is installing Hik down south. Personally I hate the stuff its cheap, no skill required to fit it, it has been hacked on a grand scale, oh and its 42% Chinese state owned. Dahua are similar to Hik in the big scheme of things, its hard to avoid Chinese stuff.

  6. Web way would have to be installed by a pro, if you want police response then that pro needs to be approved, and the system needs to be installed in compliance with pd6662. Web way pricing depends on grade and how many paths

  16. They used to use real Pandas, the same ones they used for Panda cars only smaller. Sadly because Pandas almost became extinct they are no longer allowed to use Pandas any more.
  17. No reason why it wouldnt. We have never used this kit before so we wanted to set it all up and test it, while we were at it we programmed the system the same as what it was going to be when installed. It saves the engineers getting flustered on site, all they have to do is install the kit and the sw, run a backup and the system will work. The customer can pre issue the fobs safe in the knowledge that they are programmed and tested. Staff will get in all doors tenants only the ones they're allowed to get in. The readers and fobs are secure format so I also wanted to be sure that they were all programmed correctly too. I am fairly happy that the kit is reliable as I have been reliably informed that from trusted sources that it is.

  21. Depends on how anal you are on whether you really need to put the correct screw back in. Personally I would not be losing sleep over it the box is secured and if you need to open it the screw will come out and go back in.
  22. No it just looked like an untidy mess, I just wanted to set it up and make sure every fob worked and every reader worked. Its all put away now its the one room I need to keep tidy we use it to demo stuff for customers.
