  1. You need to be NSI or SSAIB in order to provide Police response a bit like being Gas Safe in order to fit Fires, Boilers, and Cookers, although you dont have to be Gas Safe to start Fires.
  2. Siesmic on 24hr , otherwise the boiler room could be broken into when the system isnt set
  3. Not me its James with his foreign delights !
  4. I have two apprentices, but neither are on the Tavcom course they dont do one in my area, due to the fact that there is not enough apprentices to warrant it. Nobody wants to take the time and investment to train people ......well why would they when they can poach my staff.
  5. Some of us have Chicken Keivs
  6. Maybe the supplier only sells tat then. I agree with Sixwheel, the chances of you actually getting a decent picture of someone damaging your vehicle is a 200 to 1 at best, and if you insist on using cheap tat suppliers that cant even supply cameras that cannot be lassoed, or pointed to the sky with a broom, the odds go up to 1000 to 1. Maybe you could reserve your space with this.
  7. Microwave are the only detectors available that will see through solid objects, they use radar dopler which travels through solid objects and detects changes, such as moving objects. Whereas ultrasonic use sound a bit like how a Bat hears, there is a tx and an rx they tx a ultrasonic noise which bounces around the room and at the same time the rx listens to that noise. If anything in the room moves the sound it receives changes. Infra red see's heat movement.
  8. So a chap cant have a tracker on his friends car now without being called needy?? What next switch off the covert cameras?
  9. Thats what he had for tea last night, he popped into tesco express on the way home
  10. I dont make the rules! Get back to your chicken kievs I smell something burning
  11. After you have made at least four more posts
  12. yo
  13. You may be better off using a car DVR or a couple of dash cams permanently powered with large sd cards rather than trying to wirelessly record it. The problem with anything wireless lots of things in the environment have a factor, so unless you get the same parking space everyday and that has good line of sight to your access point you will find it very hit and miss(excuse the pun)
  14. Is this for personal use? I have a Dell multi function laser printer at home, that I am very happy with. The toner is very cheap on Ebay and Amazon (copy not original) I purchase another for the office and that one even has WPS we no longer have a photo copier, we scan anything that needs to be copied, but most jobsheets are electronic. My one is like this only it is smaller and cheaper but not by that much https://www.amazon.co.uk/Dell-S2815dn-Ethernet-Multifunction-Printer-Black/dp/B0170RA7KS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1523280938&sr=8-1&keywords=dell+multifunction+colour+laser+printer
  15. Quoted for agreement
  16. Your insurer has asked for Grade 2 intruder did they give a grade for the monitoring? It is quite hard for us to say what we would recommend without knowing the risk, on the same note, we would not expect you to tell us your theft attractive property on a public website though. So we can only tell you what to ask the installers.
  17. Upstairs for thinking downstairs for dancing
  18. Police do not approve anything
  19. Q70 and the older 1070 have a different facility code,I dont know how much longer HKC will have that for though, once the ACT stock runs out who knows what they will be doing
  20. The problem was that customers forgot the code on the way in, it didnt matter if they forgot it on the way out. Standard fobs wont work with texe, you can prog texe fobs to work with other panels. There are a few manufacturers that have used secure format, and others that have used facility codes so that other fobs dont work with their panels but very few are actually using a format that cannot be read at all
  21. We sell copy fobs for most brands
  22. Again that would all depend on the risk, back in the day when alarm engineers used to do keyholding I got called to some actual break ins and I would say that its not much fun. I was a big strapping lad back then but I would say anyone that tells you its not scary is lying and I would not recommend it even when you know the Police are on their way, let alone when you know they're not.
  23. I sell a lot of monitored alarm to residential customers, its normally an insurance request, but occasionally I go do a survey and the risk assessment say's monitored.
  24. Normally because the insurance company has requested it.
