I always liked visiting the nurses accommodation, sadly they knocked it all down to extend the hospital. They dont seem to have student nurse accommodation buildings anymore, theyre all bunched in with the uni accommodation, which we also look after a few of these buildings but theyre not the same.

One of the NHS student nurses accommodation buildings we look after had their microwave stolen several times, they asked us if there was anything we could do to prevent it. Our locksmith fitted a Kensington style lock and it was chained to the wall, the thieves came back couldnt steal it so took a dump on the base plate and and left the microwave running on full power, stunk the kitchen out for days.

The cost of upkeep outweighs the horror of someone rooting through your wifes knicker draw, and finding a dump in your microwave

All the prices quoted are cheap IMO, as others have said though if your not using it then ask for a price to decommission it rather than one to fix it for another 5 years. Personally I wont leave my house without arming the alarm, and wouldnt be without one

We have no interest in veripoor , we already know the rubbish they install is easily comprised tat. Any pro would just rip it out and fit a proper system no compromise

The problem is revealing information on this website on how to program or default alarm systems. This site is run by professional security installers, and as such we do not permit defaulting information in the public areas.

You shouldnt be sharing it, you have no way of knowing who you are sharing it with. You could be passing info to a burglar for all you know. Its why we have a trade area where we have screened members and we can be confident that trade members work in our industry

You could just change the panel for a smarter panel, it depends on how clever you are really. If you are running home assistant or similar, then yes you can integrate some panels using I/O units, if you are just using phillips hue/ Alexa and crossing your fingers you will need to rethink

As Alyeti says it could be any number of things, what model panel do you have and what type of prox fob genuine or compatible? Scanny wont work with any 125khz fob the it needs to be Manchester Format which are seldom found on the Chinese compatibles

Sorry as we have no way of vetting people that come here therefore, we are unable to provide engineering manuals for panels, for all we know you could be someone looking to compromise a security system.

I think we called them and asked for a calibrated meter pay a bit extra and the cert comes with it

No Climb seem to have the market for Fire test equipment. I suppose in their shoes I would do the same. I would think it is a small market so nobody is keen to take them on with their own alternative. There are Chinese alternatives but they are not closely similar. I think I will have to put service charges up on Fire and buy more kit

Ive seen those ones theyre even more expensive and they only take little smoke test canisters. Many people on FB are complaining that they are more expensive o run as well as more expensive to buy

Ive been looking on Alibaba to see if there is a Chinese copy, interestingly they have one made from a lightbulb in big cup thing. I assume that the bulb gets hot and sets off the heat. Im thinking I could just replace the element in mine with a bulb holder and bulb, If I can fix the original I may give this a go and see if it works
