  1. Assuming that the detector does not have eol resistors then that should be it just put a link in each circuit.
  2. All you can do is link it out you cannot program it out with the zone open on the Abacus panel
  3. Chinese tat, if you are desperate for work install it for more money than you would charge if you were supplying the kit yourself, allow plenty of additional time to decipher the chinglish manual. Make sure that they are aware that if the system fails you will charge for return calls if the kit is under warranty or not, and they will have to deal with the manufacturer over the warranty return and you will charge again to come and re install the replacement. People soon realise that the best way to save money is to get the installer to supply the kit.
  4. Sounds more like the external sounder tampered hence why it continued to sound after the code was entered
  5. The application was around the time the forum was down for a week, so it got missed Ill do it now
  6. I get it on Yandex and FFox its a PITA Ive told James but he just keeps saying he could have me in a fight.
  7. Its constantly recharging, it is powering your alarm, and the mains is charging it. After four years the cells breakdown and they are no longer able to hold the charge. Hence why the panel was reporting power trouble. Leaving replacement longer eventually kills the charging circuit of the control panel and replacing the battery doesnt fix the fault (Well it does for a few hours/days)
  8. Im sure it says trbl mains if its mains
  9. Probably best, an engineer should find your problem quite quickly
  10. I would normally allow 1amp per camera, so a 2amp psu will run 2 cameras. But first you need to check if the existing PSU's are working because if theyre not you need to find out what caused them to stop working. Before you fit any new ones
  11. You need to check that the power supplies are working. If the new camera was faulty or you accidentally shorted the cable, this could have blown all three supplies. With a multi meter you will be able to tell what voltage if any is coming from the supplies. You lose current through cable, you should cut the cable to length rather than having excess coiled up.
  12. Have you disconnected the new camera to see if the other 7 come back on?
  13. 250mA per camera is not enough imo, the IRs would draw close to that. The camera that failed at night was it the furthest away from the supply?
  14. Alan if you were already a trade member we need to know your the name that you originally used for membership. You have not made enough posts with your current membership so PM 'ing vetting will automatically be deleted. It may well be that your original membership has been deleted as you have not participated, in which case you will need to apply again.
  15. Alan anyone can list their company on this website, this does not mean we approve or not approve, its just a list of security companies....a bit like you would find in your local yellow pages. Being listed their does not automatically allow you into the trade area of this site either, we need proof that your trade otherwise anyone could come along and list a fictitious company on our company list then say I am trade because Im listed on your website, so I am afraid its no ticky no washey.
  16. In order to get trade access here you have to provide the information required, and you have only made two posts so currently you have not made enough posts to comply with the rules.
  17. Battery is 10 years old! it should have been replaced 6 years ago
  18. Crumbs I wouldnt want that as internal sounder, Smoke cloak is the thing to use if you really want to never get burgled
  19. That's right no noticeable difference, If you want something deafening loud then use an internal sounder as well as the speaker. The speaker is really there for entry exit noise, chime and warning noises, depending on the panel some will make the internal alarm sound but not to the extent of making your ears bleed
  20. They are all the same thing not much that can go wrong with them, pick the one you like the look of, if choice is your thing, many dont bother choosing and ask for the cheapest. Welcome to the 4rum btw
  21. As a beginner you need to understand that this is a professional security forum, as such posting engineering codes in the public area or any other area for that matter is not permitted, why I hear you ask? Well when you are supplying security on a professional basis you leave yourself wide open if someone posts your engineering codes for all to view on a public website. Your customers would not like it if someone posted your engineer codes, and its the same for anyone else. Its not done. Any professional security installer would not need to ask for other companies engineers code, as any professional company would default the system and re program it, it is the only way you know that the system is programmed correctly. Only lazy unprofessional numpties ask for other companies engineer codes, try and remember that and maybe you will get past the beginner stage.
