  1. Radio 4 works everywhere so ho cares!
  2. Im radio 4 man myself, but the breakfast show seem to be popular with the locals. my local competition listen to them too so its an extra bonus
  3. New video with Heart FM <iframe src="https://www.facebook.com/plugins/video.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fheartsussex%2Fvideos%2F1594908393868236%2F&show_text=0&width=560" width="560" height="315" style="border:none;overflow:hidden" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" allowTransparency="true" allowFullScreen="true"></iframe>
  4. Do you have to defrost it before you power it up?
  5. Ive heard if you leave the PCB in the freezer overnight it defaults to 1234
  6. PS use a free email addy not your company one, they are so thick they dont notice, and they do so many scams they cant remember who they emailed anyway.
  7. I like to play games with these scammers. Give him a price take the cc number, and then tell him it was declined, keep doing this until he finally gives up. My highest score so far is 32 cc numbers on the same transaction.
  8. Caveo Some of the members have raised concerns that you are advertising that you install Fire, yet you clearly struggle to understand the basics of a multimeter. Did you know should you install a Fire system that fails to operate and someone dies as a consequence you will be up for manslaughter? This would include not installing to the requirements of the FRA, i.e. wrongly placed detectors, cable not adequately protected or fixed, not installed to the correct grading, just to name a few. There was a guy last year got ten years for exactly that, Fire alarms have strict rules and guidelines and even those who are experienced and familiar with BS5839 will not take any risks and will refer to the standard regularly
  9. Well....you say that but I would beg to differ
  10. Everyone thinks that DT's are better and they are in the right environment, which is usually a more hostile environment than a house. I would use quads every-time over DT's in a domestic environment. Apart from in the garage, even then depending on the environment of the garage, you could sleep in mine on a cold winters day no problem so a quad is fine.
  11. I think you really need to try and find a basic electronics course at you local college, or a night class. Using a multimeter is the most basic elements of this industry and if you dont know how to use one, and clearly you do not, you should not be doing any work at all in this industry. Not understanding how to take basic measurements in this industry is like wondering around a crowded tube station blindfolded, your gonna bump into something sooner or later, lets hope its not a tube train. Honestly I wouldnt employ a trainee that doesnt have the basics, you would not pass our interview exam. I am giving advice here not taking the P, get on a basic electronic course once you understand the fundamentals you will have a much better understanding of whats going on. But asking us to teach you the basics is asking for trouble, because someone will rip the pss
  12. We use Ipads but there are no rules to say you have to, there are many of our customers that dont have a p.c. so we cant email them a copy if we use the ipad, so we have to do it the old fashioned way some of the time anyway. The person I use has developed the Ipad jobsheets specifically for us, and he has done some more tailored jobsheets for other companies, I think he charged about £600.00 for the initial program and then there is an ongoing charge for upgrades and web charges. If I want something added or changed he doesnt charge any extra though.
  13. May as well go to work with a blindfold on if you dont have a meter in your hand. The amount of times Ive asked engineers what the voltage is, or what current is it drawing, and they havent looked!
  14. We gave you the right answer in the first post, but because it was the answer you didnt want to hear you get upset, and say we are wrong not to help? A tx'er is a transmitter.
  15. LOL you do realise that no one apart from me and you will get the joke!
  16. Funny I have always read your posts in a Glaswegian accent rather than an Aberdeen one
  17. Which bit doesnt make sense the bit where you think that you can buy any old txer that will disarm your security system, or the bit where I am telling you they will be secure?
  18. I would think you need the real ones they would be rolling code and pass-worded so they cant be copied
