    Cisco 800 Series

So today I was going to port forward a dvr through said router. So IP config, default gateway of 20.1.1.254. Couldn't browse to to router. The dvr was rechable on lan, same gateway configured as laptop etc. So what was I missing here? (Other than someone who knew what he was doing?) Everyday is a learning day and all that
  4. That's a sit down with a few beers kind of manual ) So will this replace an Nvr? This thread goes back to trying to fit something like an SD advanced, but not an SD Advanced. What's the app like?

    Access Points

I have a poor reception on the one end of my house, so going to either find a cheapy access point or see if i can find an old hh3 i have buried in the loft Having never set one up, whats the best way? If i say used a BT HH3, could i cone the SSID and wireless key, change the channel disable dhcp and seamlessly wander round? ........... Or is it best to keep the SSID separate? It a little project for tomorrow if i can dig one out
  11. not too bad then. Not something ive had to do tbh, but handy to know,
  12. how messy is that though at the camera end? Ie how big is the converter?
  13. not had any issues personally at that distance. Sometimes on a longer run we may supplement it with a .75 flex, but its rare
  14. proper cat5e all the way.
  15. CCA Basically its ****, and gives a much higher resistance than standard copper cable. Measure the resistance on the runs, you'll be surprised (maybe) We tend to fire the video down a twisted pair (browns), then power down the two others. So thats the blues twisted together, and the oranges.
  16. Proper Optimas and Accentas were good panels. Keep on top of the batteries and they were/are bullet proof
  17. thought it was all based in liverpool? We used to fit stack loads of it back in the day. Still have lots of old xm's, 2plus K+ out there. Most Ulitmates have died (thank god)
  18. he must have a screw wacked through them into the joists imo? Sticky wont hold it up on the board surely Not that it makes it any better really!
  19. glows in the night iirc
  20. Ive never had one issue with them personally over 12 months. One engineer has multiple. Its his special touch i'm sure.
  21. they work 60% of the time, every time
  22. I find them a bit slow to respond, but they do go. As it was a G3 did you try dissing the trigger too?
  23. all the links present on the rio? never used them but thy can be put in different modes with the ee links for example. And yeah deffo need a ov common up. A premier for instance, wont see anything on the bus with no common ov.
