  1. we don't have zones set up as omit. If the customer wants it, it's logged
  2. Never assume it certainly could be iD
  3. Is there no alarm on site to mimic cct/ links etc??
  4. Yup I fitted one in a pub! In Rhyl lol! What about an accenta ID?! I fitted two, one is still going. Take 8 zones in iD wiring config, but only use biscuits 1-8
  5. You could run anything through an optima, all sorts of bells hanging off them. I cut my teeth on optima/Accentas
  6. The ultimate could do anything, and could run two lines of iD. The only issue for me was the flakey build quality of the pcb itself. All of our Ultimates have long gone, but as mentioned above still have many K+ nocking about. Any that die or need upgrading go to Texe, either with 60iXD unit, or wireless
  7. we used to fit all the range, logic 4 up to Ultimate. Back in the day the Karizma + was a cracking panel, and we still have lots under maint and comms. Looked after and correctly installed, they were/are very stable. Ultimate, hmmmm not as robust imo.
  8. You did the polling set up all via the keypad and not via laptop I take it? It makes a note of it in the manual
  9. We have a fair bit! Think of one 2500 with a good 70+ biscuits at a guess
  10. not too bad then. Not something ive had to do tbh, but handy to know,
  11. how messy is that though at the camera end? Ie how big is the converter?
  12. not had any issues personally at that distance. Sometimes on a longer run we may supplement it with a .75 flex, but its rare
  13. proper cat5e all the way.
  14. CCA Basically its ****, and gives a much higher resistance than standard copper cable. Measure the resistance on the runs, you'll be surprised (maybe) We tend to fire the video down a twisted pair (browns), then power down the two others. So thats the blues twisted together, and the oranges.

Any modification to the supply side would/should need a minor works.

nope You done need to be qualified to be an electrician, just competent. Under the scope of competent, the only way to "prove" you are, would be works done follows 7671. So thats where all the paperwork comes from.
  17. Receiver no or account no all removed? And you 100% should not have the powers connected together.
  18. Change the output of the panel to detector reset. Then connect the 0v of your viper to it. This will power cycle the unit every time you set the alarm, thus clearing the led. In the book of words
  19. Good stuff, did it go ok??
  20. If the panel is 3 years old you might have compatibility issues, you've only been able to add a portal in the last few years

We've still got a load of Logic 4's and old Bentleys out there under maintenance, got a REALLY old ADE panel in our stores, boss wont let it go, cream metal cased thing with a KS, i'll have to grab a pic! First system I installed myself was probably an Optima!
