  1. Change the output of the panel to detector reset. Then connect the 0v of your viper to it. This will power cycle the unit every time you set the alarm, thus clearing the led. In the book of words
  2. For me there's too many grey areas at the mo, and bits can be down to interpretation . There needs to be a pocket guide type of thing for normal goons like me on the tools, and a revision at every update, what's changed and why...... I'd pay for sure, would others? depends on them i suppose. An electrical one was under £20 off memory. For something to refer back to whilst on site, would be handy.
  3. Plain English for regs? 100% yes as an engineer!
  4. Good stuff, did it go ok??
  5. If the panel is 3 years old you might have compatibility issues, you've only been able to add a portal in the last few years
  6. Aye, most doors we see are either fastened down from the inside, or locked halfway up, so popping them out would be hard going? Still, one site we had a hole cut IN the door. Big cat flap type job, wish I got a pic! Unlucky for them there was AX across the door and D/T in loading bay
  7. Same tech also We tend to fit one, never been pulled up about it, then either DT, or AX across the door
  8. We've still got a load of Logic 4's and old Bentleys out there under maintenance, got a REALLY old ADE panel in our stores, boss wont let it go, cream metal cased thing with a KS, i'll have to grab a pic! First system I installed myself was probably an Optima!

  11. Shouldn't have to though. The 'company' should have set it up properly in the first place.
