  1. You don't say what model Elite Veritas is a double pole only panel so you have put resistors in detectors? If the keypad is unresponsive to the code then you have an issue on the network line, check panel LED's adjacent network for faults or for double address.
  2. Not possible currently AFAIK. The only way I know you can arm a specific Part Arm is with SMS module and the "parm" command. You can get outputs from if Part 1,2,3 is set/unset but no way to set 2 or 3 directly apart from above.
  3. Yep, just set all equipment, users and zones back to A only.
  4. If both areas are Final Door you can't arm everything from one location. Entry/Exit 1 and 2 are just different timers not necessarily routes. I would suggest to either set it up as one system all A for now and then in future if you need to separate it into two systems you can use areas and local arming so it would be like having two systems.
  5. You can Disable zones for all modes in the Disable Suite but you also have option to disable full set zones individually on a Excel. It maybe programmed as some Auxillary zone type instead of an alarm one, even if the zone is enabled. Or Silent PA, a number of things I suppose. If you don't know the best way to prove hardware is to default the panel to make sure there is no daft settings been set and forgot about.
  6. Could be bell/panel or wire between. depends how it's all wired. If external tamper was linked and bell duff could feedback to internal with no log events, for exmaple.
  7. Hope it doesn't do it again...? There is no guarantees it was the LM terminal and even so maybe testing it didn't show voltage that was there. Is everything powered from the panel so LM is at the same potential? It could be something daft with the panel or the dialler to be fair. I would remove all the dialler wiring and then try reset if it did it again that will prove the panel not dailler.
  8. Also .. if you are a tenant in the house ask the landlord before you do anything. Systems would be recommended for inspection and batteries checked annually, then replaced on average every 5 year. Unmaintained systems are a headache waiting to happen at 4am. If you don't wish to use the system at all in the future, then best to have the system decommissioned rather than it consuming electricity and causing issues like this for you in the future.
  9. It maybe best to find an installer that works on Scantronic systems in your area. Explain you need a service but you also have a fault occurring while the system is disarmed. Further diagnosis would depend on what is wrong, but an engineer would start with looking at the fault displayed on the keypad and testing all the wiring and panel vitals with a multimeter to get some idea and then work from there.
  10. 9930 is the model of the keypad not the alarm system it's connected to. When was the system last serviced? From what you describe you have some tamper fault which would need further diagnosis.
  11. test alerts != polling
  12. It's not the transmission path it's the polling, monitoring has polling. You can't test if a service works without sending something over it, if you only send stuff when it's urgent you don't know if it will fail.
  13. Training engineers and running a business 24/7 to fix this stuff costs money. I don't know what a fortune is relevant to what you are protecting. If you think they are trying to rip you off then see if someone else will take over the system. Although you will do well to find somewhere that wants to take it on without recommending replacement.
  14. Have you tried asking the installer? I was assuming DIY.
  15. I assume this MCM140 is connected to some obsolete one way Powermax thing? It could be out of range, lost it's programming/ faulty. Only seen one it was a pain... As usual with the old Powermax stuff delete and re-enroll can fix or it maybe for the bin.
  16. It's always been an argument of ethics over covering liability. I have no issue with it as long as the company don't go pop and leave customers with locked panels. You can see the argument both ways.
  17. You can debug from engineer menus which is active live but they trigger the same zone.
  18. Reclaimed sea, a good portion is below sea level. They don't think there will be much left if sea level continues to rise, bit like Norfolk. You can't stop the North Sea I suppose.
  19. 64W-LIVE is the replacement, can get in kit form and break up.
  20. Whatever works, keypads have zones. Ethernet in garage just do it like two sites then would be easiest leave the house alone.
  21. That's why I say Areas would need 48 for 3 areas, or 24 with 2. Only issue with self contained is outbuildings won't have app like you mentioned, unless you can get wifi over there.
  22. If the keypad is wireless for these outbuildings then some detection would be wireless? therefore I don't see how you are not getting wireless "just for a keypad". From what a can gather I wouldn't be programming part arms alone on this system I would be using local areas. All depends how the user wants to use the system for programming. I avoid Hikvision anything, so can't comment on your other query.
  23. I try to avoid flush on external in case of moisture. If I have to sealed type to a JB would be my preferred.
  24. Going off what I recall of previous thread, above was already suggested plus pets.
