  1. DD for your next basic install buy a mini prox instead of your 9561 and I'm pretty confident you'll not buy a Scany again. i used to use 9561 until I tried the mini and it's quicker to install, looks better and the customers find them super easy to use. The Gal flex is to advanced for DIY
  2. But well out of date now, its had its time and place just like the Tex veritas.
  3. Just buy a Pyronix Euro Mini Prox as this will do everything you need at a good price.
  4. And you will also need this for everyone of your systems. (well your customers will) https://ico.org.uk/
  5. To get you started. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/surveillance-camera-code-of-practice
  6. But your POE cabling will need to be installed to BS 7671
  7. (Have not tried it with V10 but should be no different) The Enforcer works fine with remote software InSite UK. Are your PC & panel on the same network? could be the problem. Have you got the cloud & IP indicators green at the bottom of software?
  8. It no drip loops on the cables
  9. There is a port to connect your usb lead and I would imagine it would work with Ricochet monitor, never tried (but i will when i get 5). You learn the devices with the on-board push button and the leds.
  10. Last time I looked you did not need Wintex to program the standalone receiver as it provides the on board relays and its a push-button learn as as Pyronix one. Out of interest what are the 2 panels installed?
  11. Am I missing something ? Rip out y i took your post as the front door zone will not work if the keypad when off line, but that's the same with all manufacturers who have zones on there keypads. I like it and use it all the time.
  12. Same as other brands with zones on keypad, saves on time and cabling.
  13. Indeed, you can connect all the wired stuff too.
  14. Going by the price list, cheap
  15. You can buy it with or with out the CSL SIM card You should check with Pyronix to make sure the network you get will allow the data side as some don't (Three being one I think).
  16. No you are correct, but it has to be a third party SIM card & not a CSL one. I have only installed the CSL ones. So there you go Mark, buy the app version panel and get the GPRS module with a high street data SIM card.
  17. Can't say I have tried but in manual for gprs IMPORTANT NOTE: The DIGI-GPRS+SIM can only be used on HomeControl+ V2.0 and V2.1 control panels. Please see your control panel user, programming and installation manuals for further information. SMS functionality is not currently supported.
  18. Every time a detection zone is triggered it keeps sending you pushes. Its only the same as you missing the telephone call from the alarm receiving center yes?
  19. The app works very well, especially the GPRS module with the cloud sim card. The subscription is only £46 per year which a no brainer as there are no call changes and the like. The GSM sim module will not work on the app panels as it needed to be the GPRS module I believe but would have to check. "Why I think its better or one of the best" Having used all but two of the manufactures apps (& equipment) out there I'm an easy man to please in that if its basic and works without spending hours setting up its got my vote. I dont want to install equipment at a customers and then be on call 24/7 because the app's not working. The "current" Pyronix equipment and customers app is basic set/unset and activate some outputs, that's it and that's all you need from an alarm app in my opinion.
  20. Both very good but app version better. Where have you herd bad reviews?
  21. I was thinking Visonic but Le Sucre good shout
  22. When you say "flex" you mean pipe that's connected to the air switch?
  23. do you mean mr gibbon? if so he said it was one of the better ones. I think its secure enough for it intended installations at grade 2
  24. I'm with Happy the Euro mini prox is the best bob basic panel out there. for low cost wireless the enforcer is also super easy to install & program and works well. the Euro 46 app with or without wireless takes some beating. and the Pyronix keypad is by far the best looking keypad on the wall & market.
  25. A bit pointless on a new build.
