  1. By the time you pay for a service and speech dialler it wouldn't be much more to stick in a euro with the app functionality and at least have some confidence in it, your old panel is on borrowed time the electrolytic caps will be dried out, the prom and nvm will be at the end of their useful life and if you havent had it serviced in so long the charging circuit will be shagged. Things wear out, especially when neglected but even when nurtured they have a finite life and replacing the worn parts before they let you down when you need them most is preventative maintenance.
  2. Out of interest why would you fit an enforcer when a euro 46 is the more appropriate panel for the job? Pretty sure it says 485 fail when it cant poll a zem, comm fail would be signalling
  3. You sure you dont have anything programmed into the arc settings? Also if the zems, ewd and detection are all powered off the panel you are overloading the power supply. Are they the mains powered zems with their own battery or the small ones?
  4. Across the street for attention, down the road for results.
  5. Perhaps they think you are acting like a dickhead.
  6. Cunts that text and drive want their fingers broken never mind banned.
  7. It isn't worth spending any time on, all the components in it will be at the end of their useful lives. You have had your moneys worth out it and then some but now its time to replace.

  9. An exceptional blaggard.
  10. The whole panel wants sticking in the bin.
  11. Doesn't work' too much latency, and the latency is variable. Watching the traffic on an rs485 datalogger its a frenzy of retries and late acks because the modules didn't see the ack in time.
  12. Checked the battery? Possibly hacked though.
  13. Nah no need for contracts all IT is is turning it off and back on again.
  14. I future when you are looking for free help from professionals with you might get a better response by not opening your first post with saying how easy and worthless our profession is.
  15. I’m going on to pprune to tell pilots they are overpaid as flying planes only consists of pushing buttons on the autopilot.
  16. But surely its only really replacing a battery, how hard can it be?
  17. They are very popular on warden call sites to trigger fire alert through the call system, and trigger gas shutoff valves or kitchen ring/cooker contactors in shelterd housing or disability adaptions.
  18. There is an exception to that, aico ei186 has battery back up and an internal sounder so would be fully functional even with melted wiring, but if you have interlinked mains already just fit a relay base to one.
  19. Is the foscam onvif compatible? A lot of them aren't.
  20. If the cleaners miss it out just discipline them surely? never fitted one in an ugly property.
  21. Flush mount one in shiny chrome is lush. Get plenty of positive comments about them regularly.
  22. Why not just a euro keypad with prox or if your feeling fancy a flush chrome one? That has an internal beeper and a display. If you are running a cable for a euro proxi anyway the wiring and programming is the same.
  23. Not a problem we face in scotland, never had anything fail due to heat. Leaks yes, heat no.
  24. Are there gutter downpipes near usable camera locations? Run some ali tube or colour coded placcy conduit behind the downpipe. If the homeowner isnt too fussy you could cabletie external cat5 behind the downpipe but 20mm conduit looks better. nvr in the loft, wireless mouse, technomate 1080p modulator and your golden.
