  1. T-Strippers. So much better than any other wire cutters/strippers I've used. And no, the 'T' doesn't stand for Tranny.
  2. Didn't realise this covered both set and unset conditions. Neat.
  3. Not sure about the '1x Motion, even when the system is disarmed' feature. Do you mean as an aggregate of any motion detector in the system ? If so, this would probably need to be done in software. The G2 is a solid panel, but doesn't really hit the spot when it comes to home automation. It has a limited set of output options / links. The Flex is okay, but I would still opt for a Dimension 48 which has a nice big metal case for extra boards and a big reliable wirewound transformer.
  4. Ah okay, I see a kit for half that on SW. Anyone have any comments on the Ethernet interface ? How secure ? AES/RSA???
  5. Doesn't that come in at £600+VAT though ? Must admit, it would have to be pretty impressive for me to spend that on a domestic panel.
  6. I suggested the Dimension, as the OP wanted a Flex. I would always choose the Dimension over the Flex. The firmware is hardened. I'd agree that the G2-20 would do everything, but with the 2.5A PSU, the Dimension will drive the sirens without the hassle of external supplies. Also for DIY go to Ebay. There are plenty good panels being ripped from defunct businesses or takeovers. The panels are rock solid anyway!
  7. On-board 12 zones with the Flex. If you want to expand the FX20, then add a RIO. If you want wireless capability, you cannot mix RIO and RF portal on the FX20 - The Flex is buggy as hell around the virtual RIO config when adding wireless. My advice would have been to get a Dimension 48 over the Flex panels, but since you've bought already it's too late...
  8. Enter master code. 42.1 (Program users) Select a user account and 'ent' Select option 5 (RF Fob) Press '*' Then press any key on the fob to populate the serial number.
  9. Pretty much what I've seen when looking at security device firmware. No obfuscation or encryption of any constant vectors used. Especially easy to find them when you have an accompanying exe with the same sequence. Pretty sure I could pattern match the executable against a technistore panel binary and have that vector in a couple of minutes.
  10. Virtual RIO addresses are not related to RF Portal addresses. The virtual RIO address will be the next availableaddress on the system Menu 51.60.1 to reassign the virtual rio addressing.
  11. 52.2 Select Zone for RF 11.1 Press * then tamper the device. The serial number will automagically populate.
  12. For the SHK8M switch 4 (test) in the off position. Set the panel up for learning the RF device serial, install the battery, press the tamper for a few seconds and release.
  13. That's confusing Matt! The old RF RIO (C076) is seen by the systems as a RIO and is programmed by connecting a keypad locally to its programming header. There are two RF portal models: C077 Used on G2 series only and programmed in panel menus. C079 Used on G2 or Dimension panels and programmed in panel menus. C079-2 (new rev of C079)
  14. Your approved vendor/equimpment list may end up quite small then... Ha ha. Not in a personal way cg.
  15. CG, I'm cringing each time you start a new topic... I've looked at some UDL programs and signalling TCD's, but couldn't bring myself to openly discuss the issues uncovered.
  16. These are freely available from Honeywell. Hopefully my posted links will work: The older TouchCenter CP040 CP040 The new TouchCenters CP041 and CP042: CP041-CP042
  17. You need Honeywell's conversion program to convert your files into a format recognised by the keypad. Also, the SD card needs to be FAT16 and small capacity - something like a 32MB will work. There are two different conversion programs for the different keypad types.
