  1. Assume the idiots found the 'wrong' or previous familial address from their 192.com grade stalking?
  2. No, newer keypads are square although if you are 100% comfortable with the whole DIY thing, an older 9330 LCD keypad would cover the exact same space (esp. if the existing keypad was a newer 9827) and work even with a brand new 9561PD or a 9571 9853 etc.... However you would almost certainly be buying that 2nd hand, although new unused ones do turn up on ebay from time to time. Our advice is always to get professional help / installers, although any DIY questions are welcome on our forums too.
  3. Hang on, there is the NVM change to try first! This will require a complete reprogram though which is best left to a pro, and we can't give out engineer manuals I'm afraid. But to be quite honest, this is an old panel and a nice new LCD display such as on a 9651 or a Euro Mini etc... would be a huge improvement.
  4. Happy better get his solicitor down there with a camera
  5. Lol if they just screw the new control box onto the old gal case
  6. I do wonder. Incredible that Bosch can't be bothered to market a single intruder product to the UK right now.
  7. 9800 or 9800+ if showing 'LB' I wonder if the power cut has cooked the NVM chip itself, a common fault at this age on the panel. Try a complete power cycle, mains first then battery, and let us know. Beware of mains voltage if not a trained alarm technician or electrician. But I would recommend replacement with a 9651, although new NVM chips are still available (despite their obsolescence within the wider IC industry)
  8. Hi there, welcome to TSI. We can't promise sensible debates on the latest IP security techniques (unless cybergibbons is around) but Mr Happy will be along shortly to do some nob gags for sure...
  9. No no, where you wheely bin?* * the management would like to apologise in advance for the fact that this joke doesn't really work as intended.

  11. Not sure if you're joking but assume you weren't expecting maplins £299 dvr prices?
  12. I would imagine you can set the associated user account to Arm Only?
  13. Well done for not going down the Yale tat route, the Texecom 24 is fine but pay careful attention to your pirs and dts. I would recommend a healthy budget for these, consider texe brand by all means but also risco iwise and vanderbilt e-line. Dont just buy the £4 budget ones. If your alarm is bells only you are essentially wanting to avoid ever having a single false alarm, as your neighbours may come over the first time it goes off, but regular false alarms will erode confidence in the system. That said, system design and sensor placement is a huge part of why a professionally installed system is worth the extra expense, as well as the ability to have proper monitoring.
  14. He hasnt posted in nearly 2 years, and afraid we still dont give out this information on the public side of the forums.
