  1. Thing with sipgate is that I would be forced to buy a £15 mo. 3 user package. The basic service doesn't support number porting
  2. Bump... Having registration issues with voipfone after a week of all going well Thankfully still a test rig, I now see many have had issues with voipfone and asterisk combos in particular deregistering for no reason. Thing with mine is now it wont even register after a sip, asterisk or full reboot... So who do you use for simple sip trunks?
  3. But pretty odd move on their part I agree, hoping you'll just FO and forfeit pay, I'm sure.
  4. As above, I have been walked out the door before on handing the letter over, nothing I've done just pure paranoia (I was part of a project to return the company's products to the UK market). As an aside, since their products are rather publically displayed, especially where I live now, they have pretty much failed as I suspected...
  5. The job at Pontins looks alright but talk about polishing a turd! Those old huts are ancient and we couldn't believe it when we saw people doung blockwork and plastering rather than tear them down... Fair play though looks tidy. Funny to see the Pontins name come back. Ironically if you were to peel off the Sand Bay signs at the main gate you would find the original Pontins ones underneath from when the 'real' Pontins flogged it off in the 90s. Also nice to see the falling apart staff accommodation on the front has been tarted up. Oh and welcome
  6. Agreed but lets take a guess its a top of stairs PIR?
  7. But, IMHO the last Birmingham IFSEC was c**p - apart from the Webway stand of course... Seriously though, there were hardly any panel manfs. TBH this years exhibitor list looks good and if it's the same in 2016 I will make the effort to go.
  8. OK, is it just a simple 'speech dialler' doing the calling or do you pay monthly for monitoring?
  9. I know, but making X number of zones Entry Route is the only way to achieve this Annoyingly, there is an option (60 / 62?) to make Final Exit = Normal Alarm in part, but NOT the opposite which quite frankly would have been more useful. If I was already in the house I would just as likely be woken up by the EE timer tones as the alarm itself, but it would still prevent full alarms from AM accidental triggering. No, they can't, other than by the very narrow 'feature 61' and this is a major failing of this and the ion
  10. The keypad will possibly work, but if I was your alarm company and you had started fiddling with the system yourself I think that would be the end of us being your alarm company. The tamper alert was there for a reason! I appreciate you are a charity but your supporters would be rightly annoyed if items bought from their donations had been stolen from your office, but that could have been prevented. The keypad is indeed, officially, obsolete and no new ones have been made for a while AFAIK. My first question to you would be, what happens when the alarm goes off at the moment - does someone get a phone call to say it has gone off, or does it just 'make a noise'?
  11. This is the issue I refer to above. You will have to set the Zone 4 type to 'Entry Route' to make the '61' feature work. The downside is that then, as I say, a burglar can enter the house through the front door and then on to Zone 4 without the alarm sounding, when the alarm is fully set (i.e 'A' set) I would personally retain a higher amount of security for the full set, and simply remove Zone 4 from Part Set B by going into the programming menu for Zone B type and pressing the 'b' button to flag it as removed in Part set B However, I would seek advice before potentially lessening the security of your system.
  12. Exactly, so you would potentially be making the landing pir zone, often the only upstairs protection, and often the first pir physically located after the entry exit zone proper an entry route zone just to accomodate the above option. In the typical UK house setup, this means on full set, someone can boot the front door in and head on up the stairs scot free whilst the entry timer chimes. Not for me chef. Dont get me wrong it would work, but its a huge failing of this panel and the ion that you dont have a freer hand in changing response based on set level.
  13. You cant do that, without it either being an access zone on full set, or an entry zone all the time thou? The options im aware of is make access = fe in part, or make fe = normal alarm in part
  14. It would have to be Access reverted to Entry I suspect if were talking landing pir. The only other option is make entry zone act as normal alarm And I never do the first one as on the typical house it would mean you could break the front door down then up the stairs all with nothing other than the entry tones. Suspectvit just needs the pir in question to be completely removed from part b set?
  15. true seen this enough times, CQRs bodged into texe cases, strange what some people do!
  16. Nope youre right, it's something they introduced on the last incarnations of the now discontinued 9751 9752 and 9853 EN models that's slightly pointlessly crept into the remaining 9651 model
  17. There is no issue, although on a 9651 the only relevant bus checks it's doing are for keypads. A longish wait is normal, I upgraded a 9853 last week with a second keypad and xpander and that takes about the same time to get to 'exit engineer?'. Other than mains or battery, if there are faults it can see, it won't let you exit. The only specific bellbox fault this panel can detect is an open tamper.
  18. I've forgotten what that bell does now - did a tamper disable the leds? Can't remember, must have fitted tons, esp the 4... Thinking about it certainly pre-EN I'm sure the LEDs carried on with at least the front cover off, I'm certain.
